The moment you know that you are pregnant is the moment that is etched into the soon-to-be parent’s memory forever. A baby is a blessing in disguise, and every parent would do anything in their power to keep their child safe and healthy. However, we live in a world where not every plan goes according to us and not everything is in our countrol. Losing a baby is the most devastating feeling. It is like someone showed you what happiness feels like and then took it away from you. Television couple, Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava had been one such couple with whom, happiness had played a brutal game. Ankita and Karan had gotten married on May 3, 2015. The couple had welcomed a little angel in December 2019, and since then, their lives have been revolving around their princess, Mehr. However, Mehr is not their first child as the couple was supposed to welcome their first baby in November 2018, but unfortunately, Ankita had suffered a miscarriage in June 2018. Now after 2 years of her miscarriage, Ankita has muggled up the courage to pen her miscarriage journey and how the couple had dealt with it.

Taking to her Instagram handle, Ankita shared a series of pictures, recalling the unfortunate day, how the couple dealt with the loss, how her husband, Karan Patel turned out to be her biggest strength and everything she learned from her experience. Sharing a series of pictures starting with a picture of her with her daughter, Ankita talked about how she mustered up the courage to talk about her miscarriage story. She wrote, “Technically i wrote this a few days ago,But it took me time to muster up the courage to make this post! This is by far the most personal post that im ever going to write,With hopes that i can make atleast a little difference in someones life... At first i didnt want to talk about it to anyone at all... But then after having counselled more than TWO DOZEN women over dmz on instagram all over the country, I realised it is time I openly talk about ‘MY MISCARRIAGE’ The most important takeaway for me from this experience was.... DONT KEEP RELIVING THE PAST. DONT KEEP WAITING FOR THE FUTURE. JUST SIMPLY LIVE IN THE PRESENT. I hope this helps…” Take a look:
Narrating her story and recalling the day she actually had her miscarriage, she shared how it was a normal day and she was planning to fly to Thailand for an ad shoot after getting a certificate from her gynac. She shared that there was no explanation and she had just lost her child. There was nothing wrong she had done, but still, her baby was taken away from her. Take a look:
She further shared how she and her husband, Karan felt the emptiness. She shared that both Karan and she had a different approach to deal with this pain and eventually they had to hold on to each other to feel the pain together. She further added that everything in their healing process reminded them about their lost child as they had lost a big part of their heart. She also acknowledged Karan being her biggest strength during those difficult days.

Ankita also talked about how everything felt meaningless to her. She recalled people trolling her and fostering the idea that the couple deserved this pain and she is a baanjh. She accepted that it had hurt her badly and there was no way to lessen her pain, but she had realised that there are many women like her, who are dealing with the loss. Further, Ankita recalled trying to find an answer to her miseries and if she will ever be able to meet her first baby again. She shared that she sure doesn’t have an answer to all her questions even now, but she is blessed to have her second daughter, Mehr and thanked God for this kindness.
In the end, Ankita shared the things that she has learnt from this unfortunate incidence of her life. She shared that it is important to cry your heart out as it is therapeutic and healing. Ending her note, she shared the name the couple had decided for their unborn child. She wrote, “There is a patch on our hearts with their name on it….
