Ankit Gupta Says He 'Needs Time For Himself' Amid Breakup Rumours With Priyanka Choudhary

Ankita Gupta is one of the most popular self-made stars in the Television Industry and has won hearts with his impressive acting performances. Apart from his work, the actor's real-life bond with his former co-star, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, has won hearts over time. Fans often speculate that they have been dating while they keep their relationship status to being 'just friends'. Amid all this, Ankit recently sat down for an interview and shared that he has opted out of an upcoming show with Priyanka and wants to take some time for himself next. 

Ankit Gupta shares he wishes to take a short break from work

Ankit Gupta rose to popularity with Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta's TV show, Udaariyaan and his on-screen chemistry with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was loved by fans. After the show ended, the duo participated in Bigg Boss 16 and won hearts with their real-life bond. After their breakup rumours went viral, another news revealed that he has left his upcoming show with Priyanka. Ankit recently sat down for an interview with Bollywood Bubble and confirmed that he wouldn't be a part of his upcoming show, Terre Ho Jaayein Hum with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. 

The Balika Vadhu actor explained that he intends to take out time out time for himself after working working continously. Ankit shared that he wants to spend some time to rejuvenate. For the same reason, Ankit will not participate in other reality show like Khatron Ke Khiladi that has left his fans upset. In his words: 

"Yes, I backed out of the project with Ravi Sargun. I don't think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. And maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself. And as I said, maybe that's the reason I will not do Khatron Ke Khiladi also this year. I'm just taking time for myself, so I'm not thinking about work right now."

Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary often leave fans gushing with their social media activities which include heartfelt pictures from festival celebrations to adorable birthday wishes. But they recently unfollowed each other, fueling their breakup rumours. Further, a media report  revealed that the couple allegedly had a big fight before they ended their bond. Since none of the actors spoke about it, India Forums contacted Ankit Gupta to get a reaction. But, he kept his response simple and said:

"Not commenting on that."

Ankit Gupta debuted 2012 as 'Dr.Abhishek Kumar' in Colors TV's Balika Vadhu. In the same year, he starred in the film, Tutiya Dil. The actor first got recognition for his role in Channel V India's show, Sadda Haq. Ankit went on to star in shows like Begusarai, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Mayavi Maling Kundali Bhagya and more. He became a household name with Udaariyaan and won hearts with his stint in Bigg Boss 16.
