Ankit Gupta Reacts To Unfollowing Priyanka Choudhary Amid Breakup Buzz, 'It's Between Two People..'

Ankit Gupta is a prominent television actor who rose to fame with his stint on the TV show Udaariyan. It was followed by his appearance on Bigg Boss 16, where his real-life romance with former co-star, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary stole the limelight. At the same time, fans were impressed with his calm and patient charm. After the show ended, Ankit and Priyanka were often spotted together and discussed their strong bond, which made fans believe that the couple shared something more than friendship. However, before the stars confirmed their relationship, they unfollowed each other, leaving fans stunned. In a new interview, Ankit Gupta opened up about his decision and explained that he isn't bothered by the attention paid to his personal life. 

Ankit Gupta reacts to his decision to unfollow Priyanka Chahar Choudhary 

Ankit Gupta recently walked the ramp at Bombay Times Fashion Week 2025. After his walk, he sat down for an interview discussing his work and personal life. When asked about his decision to unfollow Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, which gave rise to their breakup buzz, the actor mentioned that irrespective of the issue, it is between two people. At the same time, it would continue to be between them, and it's inappropriate for any third person to interfere. He said:

"Whatever it is, it is always been between two people. It is between two people, and it always will be between two people. And we cannot allow nor do we allow any third person to get into our whatever it (equation) is."

Furthermore, when Ankit Gupta was asked if he was dating anyone, he simply smiled and added no comments. The actor was also asked if the constant chatter around his personal life affects his response, Ankit mentioned that he doesn't think much about it because he knows that certain parts of his personal life will always get attention since he chose to become a public figure. In his words:

"I don't really give it a thought. Because one thing I know for sure is that I am a public figure, and people would always want to know about my life and a certain part of my life I would not be able to hide. No matter what. No matter how much I try, that won't happen. And there would be people who would love me for whatever I do. There would be people who would hate me for whatever reason. A lot of people will judge me for my actions. But the thing is, they're not the ones in my shoe."

Ankit Gupta shares that he isn't bothered by the attention on his personal life 

In the same conversation, Ankit Gupta explained that people not in his place would never understand his challenges. He added that when he is going through a particular situation, he will do whatever seems appropriate to him. As a result, despite speculation, people often can't understand his decision. However, he isn't affected or concerned by the criticism. When asked if he is bothered by speculation on his personal life, Ankit said:

"It doesn't. Because I know if everybody is happy with you, that means you're doing something wrong."

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is affected by rumours about her personal life 

Apart from Ankit Gupta, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was also present at the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2025. During her turn, she was also asked if she was affected by the buzz around her breakup and other personal life issues. In her reply, Priyanka reacted opposite to Ankit and admitted that she gets affected due to the chatter. Also, she strongly feels emotions, and such speculation is difficult for her to manage and get over. Explaining her views, the actress said:

"It does (bother); it definitely does. I'm a human being, too. I have emotions, too, and I have extreme emotions, but at the same time, I am practical, also. So, I just try to balance it practicality and emotional."
