Anita Hassanandini Begin Acting At 17 Post Father's Death, Debut With Aishwarya, Net Worth In Crores

There are many Bollywood actresses like Vidya Balan, Mrunal Thakur, and Yami Gautam who started their acting careers in the TV industry and later made their presence known on the silver screen. Anita Hassanandini, a popular face in the Hindi TV industry, also tried to switch her career from TV to the silver screen but she couldn’t taste success.

She appeared in both Hindi and Telugu films, but luck didn’t favour her in the film industry. Today, Anita is one of the top actresses in the TV industry, with 27 years under her belt, she earned both name and fame through her daily soap operas. Anita Hassanandini made her acting debut with the Hindi serial, Idhar Udhar

Anita was born on April 14, 1981, in a Sindhi family in Mumbai. She was just 15 years old, when Anita lost her father. In order to take care of her family, she had to take up a job as a receptionist. Then, in 1998, Anita Hassanandini made her debut with the Hindi serial, Idhar Udhar. Then she appeared in the TV series, Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan. However, she made a major breakthrough in 2005 with Ekta Kapoor’s serial, Kkavyanjali, through the character of 'Anjali', the main female lead in the serial. This TV show made her a TV star, and her performance won the hearts of many.

Anita Hassanandini also tried to make her presence in films

Anita made her debut in Hindi films in 1999 with the superhit Bollywood film, Taal, starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Akshaye Khanna. She was seen in the popular song, Ishq Bina from Taal. Then, she made her screen appearance as a lead actress in the Telugu film, Nuvvu Nennu in 2001. She did films like Kucch To Hai, Yeh Dil, Silsiilay and many more. However, she failed to earn recognition through her films.

Anita became the most popular face in the TV industry with the TV serial, Kkavyanjali. She also appeared in popular TV serials like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii and Naagin. During her 27-year-old TV journey, she worked in 68 TV shows. She has recently been seen playing a negative role in the Hindi serial, Suman Indori.

Anita Hassanandini’s past relationship with actor, Eijaz Khan

Anita Hassanandini once had a serious relationship with her Kkavyanjali co-star, Eijaz Khan. As per reports, the duo met for the first time on the sets of the TV serial, Kkavyanjali, and soon they started dating in 2005. However, their relationship was short-lived, and they broke up in 2007. In an interview with Hauterrfly, she once shared inside details about her past relationship with Eijaz. She revealed as Eijaz is a Muslim and she is a Hindu, her mom was a bit reluctant about their relationship. Addressing her past relationship with Eijaz Khan, she said:

“That was one of the first few long-ish relationships of my life, and I'd also gone against my mom because he was from another culture. He was Muslim, and I'm a Hindu. She didn’t outright forbid it, but she always had her concerns. We were good individually, but we weren’t good for each other. It didn’t work out, and that’s that. If somebody is wanting to change you in order to be in love with you, it’s not love. But I didn’t realise it then, because I was in love, and I was willing to change for the person I loved. I wish I hadn't changed all that much, and been myself."

Anita also shared that it was difficult for her to move on after her breakup with Eijaz, and it took her almost 1.5 years to finally move on. She was feeling so low and down, she moved into her best friend’s house. She shared how her best friend used to prep her up every morning and calmed her when she thought about the negative things about her past relationship.

Anita Hassanandini got married to businessman, Rohit Reddy in 2013

Rohit Reddy had first seen Anita in a gym and was completely blown out by her beauty. Rohit also tried to impress her through Facebook messages, totally unaware that she was an actress. Then, the duo met again through a common friend, and as they say, the rest is history. The couple tied the knot in 2013. It was a Telugu-Sindhi wedding that took place in Goa.

Anita Hassanandini's motherhood journey

Anita conceived when she was 39 years old. However, on February 9, 2021, Anita welcomed her first baby with her husband, Rohit. It was a baby boy. The couple named their son Aaravv. Immediately after her son's birth, Anita decided to take a break from acting. Then, after 5 years, when Aarav was 4 years old, she made a comeback with the Hindi TV serial, Suman Indori.
