The 25-year-old actress was reportedly in a relationship with Bollywood handsome hunk, Aditya Roy Kapur. While the two have never worked on any film together as of now, they have starred in several advertisements.
After Ananya, her father, Chunky Panday, was recently seen in an advertisement alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. In a video shared by the beverage brand's official Instagram page, Aditya, dressed in a bright yellow shirt paired with a white T-shirt and beach shorts, was seen enjoying a beachside moment when Chunky, playing the role of a shack owner, offered him the brand's new beverage. In the video, the latter said to Aditya:
"Sir, only single yellow? Boring fellow. You want double the chill?"

As the brand shared this advertisement on its social media account, it sparked a flurry of reactions from netizens in the comment section. While some eagerly anticipated Ananya’s appearance in the ad, others were charmed by the ‘sasur-damaad’ duo. One user said, “I’m the only one who waited for Ananya?” Another wrote, “Damaad or sasurji ki jodi, Kya baat hai.” A third netizen penned, “Omg, lmao, I never expected this.”
Previously, during an interview with Lehren, Chunky Panday was asked to share his thoughts about Ananya's relationship with her rumoured boyfriend, Aditya Roy Kapur and how often she talks about him, Chunky said that his daughter is free to do whatever she wants. He said that his daughter is 25 years old and he would not dare tell his daughter anything about her relationships. Sharing how Ananya earned more than him, Chunky said:
“I mean it’s fine. I mean, she is 25. She is earning more money than I am right now. So she is free to do what she wants to. How dare I tell her, my 25-year-old daughter, that you have a boyfriend? I mean I can understand, if she was 14 years old or something, I could interfere but no, no.”

The rumoured couple, Ananya and Aditya, has kept their relationship away from the media glares for the longest. Unfortunately, earlier in 2024, reports surfaced in the media claiming that Ananya and Aditya parted ways cordially in March 2024. While the couple has neither confirmed nor denied the speculations, a source close to them has disclosed to the Bombay Times:
“They broke up almost a month ago. They were going quite well, and the breakup came as a shock to all of us. They are cordial with each other. Ananya is trying to move on; of course, there’s hurt. She is spending time with her new furry friend. Aditya is also trying to deal with the situation maturely.”
