Being the comedian that she is, one could easily mistake Amy Schumer's sudden Instagram profile wipeout as a prank. The 44-year-old, after deleting all her previous photos, added a new post on November 11, 2025, in which she is seen wearing a red silk mini dress featuring a heart in the front, paired with Chanel shoes. In the post's caption, she asks her followers if they are proud that she did not stay cooped up at home and actually went outside. Additionally, she wrote that she is feeling good and happy and that she deleted her old pics for ‘no reason’.

In one such carousel of pictures shared on the platform on October 30, 2025, Schumer shared that she was finally feeling 'strong' and like herself.

This eventually made Schumer address the speculations directly in a follow-up post where she stated:

“I’m proud of how I’ve looked always. I have been working to be pain-free, and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome, so my face went back to normal. I am grateful to be strong and healthy, especially for my son. But your Instagram is not your identity, it’s a curation of what you want the world to see, and I feel great, strong and beautiful, and it’s been fun sharing that.”

Amy Schumer further explained that she didn't go on a weight loss journey purposefully and that her primary focus has always been on her health since she's a ‘perimenopausal woman’ on heart medications. Schumer ended her post with a positive message to her followers, stating:

“Wishing you strength and self-love on whatever path you’re on, as long as it’s kind and respectful to all people. No matter their weight, race or religion, peace!”

Did Amy Schumer take Ozempic during her weight loss journey?

At the beginning of 2025, during her appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Amy Schumer admitted she had tried Ozempic almost three years earlier. However, she claimed that it made her horribly sick, which then led her to switch to Mounjaro and eventually lose 35 lbs without any adverse side effects. She stated:

“My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy. I want to ‘get down’ more, if you know what I mean. I’m talking about s**. So, yeah, that’s been great. Mounjaro’s been great.”
