Nearly three years after their off-screen romance sent shockwaves through American morning television and ended their GMA3 careers, the couple is now ready to turn a new leaf. Amy and T.J. are well-known faces in American television as former Good Morning America co-hosts. After losing their hosting careers to an off-screen affair scandal, the couple is now starting afresh. The couple shared the happy news on a recent episode of their Amy & T.J. podcast, officially confirming their engagement, which took place about a month ago. On October 14, 2025, Robach, 52, revealed:

“We are sharing with all of you that we are engaged, and we’ve been engaged for just about a month now.”

Holmes added that they wanted fans to hear it directly from them before tabloids picked up the story. The 48-year-old even joked about their highly publicised off-screen affair that had shaken morning television as he said:

“We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to. We’ve learned that lesson in the past about our relationship.”

For the unversed, Amy and T.J. became a central topic of celebrity gossip in late 2022 when the media erupted with their romance, especially given that both were still married to their respective partners, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig.

Given their history of sparking media frenzy with their relationship, Robach and Holmes got engaged in secret about a month ago. According to information obtained by Us Weekly, the couple hosted a small, private celebration with close family and friends to share the news. An insider told the outlet:

“They told everyone they are engaged and going to get married. It was intimate, emotional, and very them.”

Regarding their potential wedding date, the couple has yet to confirm the exact date, but they are reportedly eyeing a 2026 wedding. However, Amy and T.J. are keeping things deliberately low-key, and the same is expected of their marriage plans, at least for now. Regardless, insiders have reported to the outlet some details about their wedding. 

Robach and Holmes reportedly want a private wedding which will be small and intimate, with ‘no more than 100 people’. There are also talks of a destination ceremony, possibly somewhere tropical. According to the source, the event will be more about ‘sharing their vows and love’ than making it a public spectacle. They want to be surrounded only by those who have supported them from day one.

If initial reports are to be believed, Robach and Holmes are indeed planning to invite their former partners, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig. Well, if that sounds awkward, think again. Robach’s ex-husband, Andrew Shue, and Holmes’ ex-wife, Marilee Fiebig, made their red carpet debut as a couple in late 2024 at the Grassroots Soccer World AIDS Day Gala in New York City. The duo has been in a serious relationship for a while now and has allegedly been living together since February 2025. A source told Us Weekly at that time:

“They are very much in love. It’s not revenge. It’s real.”

Robach first sparked engagement rumours in March 2025 when she appeared at the iHeartRadio Music Awards wearing a dazzling ring. “I was in three massive football stadiums three weekends in a row, wearing my engagement ring very proudly, very excitedly, and kept waiting for somebody to point it out or ask me, 'Hey, what’s that?'”
