Saif Ali Khan is a well-known name in Tinseltown. He was previously married to Amrita Singh and welcomed two kids, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan with her. However, soon the couple parted ways on an ugly note. Later, Saif tied the knot for the second time with Kareena Kapoor, and the duo is proud parents to two boys, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
During her appearance on an episode of Rendezvous With Simi Garewal, Amrita Singh was asked if she felt that outdoor shoot locations were dangerous. Reacting to it, she said that she is not sure about it. Later, Simi asked Amrita if she had ever accompanied Saif Ali Khan to his outdoor shoots. To which, she stated that women who believed that being a guard dog would have stopped their husbands from cheating on them were fooling themselves and that they should stop. Amrita added:
"Are you trying to tell me that if you are there all the time, nothing could have happened. Please, I mean. you know.. We can't fool ourselves, women have to stop fooling themselves. If you seriously believe that being a guard dog can stop you."

Amrita further added that it is demeaning for a woman to be a guard to her husband and think that the latter will not cheat on her with some other women. She also mentioned that a man will not cheat in front of his wife, but there is no guarantee that he wouldn't do that behind her back. Amrita was heard saying:
"It's no fun. I mean how demeaning it is for you as a woman to be doing that. I think it is very demeaning to be sitting at the location and saying 'So is he or is he not?' Oh he's not because I am here, I mean that's even worse. If that has to be it, then I know it sounds awful but that's it then."

In the same episode, Simi Garewal asked Amrita Singh if she felt insecure about Saif Ali Khan, and the latter agreed. The actress went on to add that though they had their fights, she had made it through the difficult times. Called it a harrowing experience, Amrita stated that she wanted to bash Saif’s head with a frying pan and added:
“I would lie if I said I didn’t. I’ve been here. We’ve had our problems, we’ve had our fights. I think it’s normal for a woman to feel insecure. I cried and fought, did normal things that any woman wanted to do. I wanted to bash Saif’s head with a frying pan."

Talking about his equation with his ex-wife, Saif said that he shares a very good relationship with her and always respects her. He added:
“Things changed but she was a wonderful support. She is mother to two of my kids and I share a very good relation with her. It’s always respect. It's always bad when things don't work well, especially for the kids, something that you don’t want for them but unfortunately it happens.”
