Bollywood actress, Amrita Rao tied the knot with an RJ by profession, Anmol Sood on May 15, 2014. And on November 1, 2020, Amrita and Anmol embraced parenthood for the first time with the arrival of their son, Veer. Since then, the couple has been enjoying their parenthood journey to its fullest and keeps sharing stunning glimpses from their lives. Now, as they shared a new Vlog on their YouTube channel, the couple took their fans to their old marriage hall where they married 9 years ago and also gave a detailed bifurcation of their marriage expenses.
On May 14, 2023, Amrita Rao and her hubby, RJ Anmol shared a Vlog on their YouTube channel, Couple Of Things, to share the secret behind their exceptionally low-budget wedding. At the beginning of the video, they were seen going on a nostalgic journey from Mumbai to Pune city. For the unversed, the duo had secretly tied the knot at a famous Iskcon Temple in Katraj, Pune, nine years ago amidst the presence of their close ones. Thus, revealing some details about the same, Anmol mentioned how they asked people to look after their own convenience and this way, he and Amrita saved the entire travel cost.

Afterwards, as the Anniversary special Vlog continued, Amrita could be seen standing in front of the Orchid Hotel and revealed the next details of their marriage expenses. She mentioned that in 2014, the couple had booked 8 rooms in the hotel for a total cost of Rs. 64,000 with additional charges of a sangeet hall for Rs. 21,000 and a grand dinner night for Rs. 6,500.
Afterwards, Amrita and Anmol disclosed details about their wedding outfits and jewellery. First, Anmol shared that his wedding attire was a gift from his maasi, which she brought from Kerala and cost him only Rs. 3000 to finish it off. And Amrita mentioned her saree was a traditional one and also priced at Rs. 3000. Coming to the actress' jewellery, she mentioned that her mangalsutra was priced at Rs. 18,000, and she had made it as per her own customisation. Apart from this, her other jewellery was all artificial, as she had no time to shop.

Finally, Amrita and Anmol reached their old marriage hall Iskcon Temple in Katraj, Pune, after almost nine years. They were seen reliving each and every moment from their D-Day and cherishing the golden memories. The priest over there also revealed that the cost of the wedding venue then was just Rs 11,000, and since their wedding, the hall has been closed.
At the end of the video, Amrita revealed that she had done her own makeup on her D-Day, and her nani, massi and other relatives have decked her up, thus saving a big portion of her expenses. Amrita also shared that she and Anmol did not want to wear designer clothes for their special occasion. For this reason, they settled for very traditional and elegant ensembles and shared:
"We always believed that weddings should be about love, not about showing off wealth and ostentation. We wanted our wedding to be a beautiful, intimate affair with just our immediate families & close friends, and we're glad we were able to achieve that without spending a fortune."
Anmol also added that his wedding with Amrita reflected their minimalistic personalities. Altogether, their expenses stand at Rs. 1,26,500. Thus, elaborating more on it, Anmol stated:
"Our wedding was a reflection of our personalities, and we wanted to keep it humble. We would be happy if this inspires people to opt for budget-friendly weddings too."
Well, we are stunned to know about the cost-effective approach of Amrita and Anmol towards their wedding, nine years back.
