Amitabh Bachchan is one of the greatest actors ever in the history of Indian cinema. If we talk about longevity and versatility, it's impossible to name any actor who can pose a challenge to Big B. The iconic actor made his acting debut back in 1969 in the film, Saat Hindustani. However, it was his work in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Anand, alongside Rajesh Khanna, which introduced him to the film fraternity. In 1973, he portrayed the character, 'Inspector Vijay Khanna' in Prakash Mehra's Zanjeer, which changed his life forever.
It was the beginning of Amitabh Bachchan's super-successful 'Angry Young Man' era in Hindi cinema, which cemented his status as one of the greatest actors the country has ever seen. Big B has been a part of the Hindi film industry for more than 54 years and has experienced a series of ups and downs on his personal and professional fronts.

In an old interview with Filmfare back in 2001, Amitabh Bachchan recalled an incident that happened when he was in Boston, United States of America. Opening up about the unfortunate incident, Big B stated that when he was walking in the lobby of a hotel, some guys splashed paint on him and pretended that it happened unintentionally. They started cleaning Big B's jacket despite the actor insisting that it was all right. However, suddenly, they snatched the briefcase from his hand and ran away.
Further, in the same interview, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that the briefcase had a series of important documents like his passport, letters from his parents, postcards from his children, and much more. Big B also added that he also had some cash in the briefcase. The actor further revealed how he reacted to this situation and clearly stated that he felt 'utterly helpless'. Well, Big B's reaction is completely understandable, and he's fortunate that they ran away without physically harming the actor. Recalling his reaction, Big B said:

"A gang of six guys splashed paint on the back of my jacket, pretended to clean it and snatched my briefcase, which had everything – my passport, money, letters from my parents, postcards from my kids. I felt helpless, utterly helpless, in the middle of nowhere."
According to several media reports, this attack on Amitabh Bachchan happened when his son, Abhishek Bachchan was in Boston. For the unversed, Abhishek took admission to Boston University to pursue a degree in business management. As per reports, this incident happened when Abhishek was studying in Boston, and Big B reportedly went there to meet his son. However, there's no confirmation about the same; these are just mere speculations in the gossip columns. Another lesser-known fact about 'Boston and Bachchans' is that Big B told Abhishek to drop out of his college to assist him in saving his crumbling production house, Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL).
