Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s are reportedly tying the knot on June 23, 2024. The duo, who have been in a relationship for long, will be tying the knot in a simple registered wedding at Zaheer’s residence. Despite such happy news, other reports suggest that Sonakshi’s parents and her brothers have been seemingly unhappy with the match. While Shatrughan Sinha’s latest appearance with Zaheer Iqbal has already dispelled much doubts, it seems that speculations about the diva’s brothers might be true.
Sonakshi Sinha recently celebrated a gala moment with her family and friends, by throwing in a large get together. Her beau, Zaheer Iqbal joined in the celebrations, as did her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. In the pictures that have surfaced, Sonakshi’s entire family were seen rejoicing, and the smiles on their faces were unmissable. In fact, the way Shatrughan held his damaad-to-be, Zaheer Iqbal close to him, already rubbished many rumours about discord. However, several eyebrows were raised, as it was Sonakshi’s twin brothers, Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha, who seemed to be missing from the frame.

For quite some time now, speculations have been rife that Sonakshi Sinha’s brother, Luv Sinha has been upset over her wedding. While the exact reason hasn’t been known, it was the latter’s reaction of not being aware of his sister’s wedding at all, which led to many curious questions. Moreover, Luv kept on dropping a few posts on his social media, accompanied with cryptic notes, that further fuelled the hints of discord. However, in a latest remark on X (formerly Twitter), he clarified about all such cryptic posts and wrote:
“Dear friends in the media. I don’t post cryptic messages. When I have to say something I’ll clearly say it."
Back in the time when the first reports of Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal had surfaced on the internet, it was the actress’ brother, Luv Sinha’s reaction on the entire news which came as quite startling. He denied being involved in any way in the matter, leading people to think that he was not happy with the news. Speaking with The Times of India, Luv had mentioned:
"I have no comment or involvement in the matter."

Previously, in an interview with Times Now, Shatrughan Sinha rubbished reports of him being upset over his daughter, Sonakshi Sinha’s decision of marriage, and as a result, not attending the wedding entirely. On the contrary, the veteran actor remarked that he is extremely proud of his daughter and his happiness would always lie in the happiness of Sonakshi.
