Popular actor, Naga Chaitanya has been hitting the headlines now for his engagement with actress, Sobhita Dhulipala. For the uninitiated, Chaitanya was earlier married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They got engaged to one another on January 29, 2017. Afterwards, on October 6, 2017, they exchanged vows in Hindu as well as Christian rituals. However, soon, troubles started cropping in their marriage, and the couple parted ways four days ahead of their fourth wedding anniversary. Now, as Chaitanya got engaged for the second time to Sobhita, his ex-wife, Samantha's engagement saree featuring their love story resurfaced online.
In some of the glimpses from Samantha Ruth Prabhu's engagement with Naga Chaitanya, it was her saree that caught our attention. The South Indian actress opted for an ivory-hued saree from the shelves of ace designer, Kresha Bajaj's Studio Koesch. She teamed her look with a sleek off-shoulder sequinned blouse, open wavy tresses, and unique choice of jewellery.

The entire design of the resplendent saree was embossed with rich gold detailing. The highlight of Samantha's saree was the intricately embroidered love story of Samantha and Chaitanya on the border of it, created by the artisans. The white saree's border featured important scenes of the film, Yeh Maya Chesave, in which Samantha and Chaitanya had acted together as the lead pair for the first time, embossed with rich gold detailing.
Thus, the saree's border had both of them on a bike, a family picture taken at Chaitanya's brother, Akhil Akkineni's engagement, a back pose of the then-couple looking at their movie banner, and many other glimpses from their real-life love story. Not only that, a special moment in Samantha and Chaitanya's life was also intricately embroidered on the saree. The moment was from when she was seen flaunting her engagement ring and in the beachy background, we could spot Chaitanya.

Not only Samantha's saree, another photo exclusively shared by celebrity photographer, Joseph Radhik, featuring a cute little girl with flower from the actress' family, also grabbed attention at that time. She was seen wearing a customised frock with Samantha and Chaitanya's name embroidered on the hem of the same. The baby girl looked extremely cute and was seen carrying a white rose in her hand.

Samantha and Chaitanya parted ways in 2021 due to reasons best known to them. They announced their divorce in a joint statement shared on their respective social media handles. Since then, they have never openly discussed the real reason behind their separation, and have moved on in their lives.
On August 8, 2024, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got engaged in an intimate ceremony in Hyderabad. In the pictures from their engagement, we can see the much-in-love couple happily posing for the lens. The entire ceremony venue was beautifully decorated with flower garlands, and the theme was traditional.
For the ceremony, Sobhita opted for a pink-hued saree paired with a matching blouse from Manish Malhotra's collections. Subtle makeup, gold jewellery, a small bindi, and pink flowers adorned with a bun-braid hairdo accentuated her look. On the other hand, Chaitanya wore a white kurta with a matching doshala from the same designer's shelves.
Although Samantha had also initially shared a video showing how her engagement saree was designed, but she later deleted it from her social media handle.
