Amar Upadhyay is a famous actor in the television industry. The actor appeared in a whole lot of Hindi movies, serials, and TV shows. Well, it was his acting skills in Ekta Kapoor's show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which made his fans go gaga over him. The actor played the lead role of 'Mihir Virani', and became everyone's apple of the eye. The actor left the show after one year, but he had to make a comeback on the public demand. And later, he eventually quit the show in 2002 after a generation leap. 

Amar Upadhyay recalls his horrifying experience of being mobbed while visiting the Taj Mahal

Well, in a recent interview, Amar revealed how the craze of his fans left him with a lot of bruises and nail marks. Yes, you heard it right. Talking to ABP Live, Amar Upadhyay stated that he once went to visit the Taj Mahal with his toddler and friends in 2000. Well, someone in the crowd recognised him as 'Mihir', and within minutes, he was surrounded by at least 50-60 security personnel and police, who helped him to enter the Taj Mahal premises. In Amar's words:

"There was a long queue outside Taj Mahal, and just when we were turning to leave, someone in the crowd saw and me and recognised me as Mihir. Within minutes I was surrounded by police and 50-60 security personnel. Hundreds of people gathered at the spot, but the guards somehow managed to move me inside the Taj Mahal premises."

Talking more about the same, Amar Upadhyay shared that after he was spotted, a massive crowd was there, and everyone started to push the cops, and he was brutally mobbed. The actor said people were pulling and pushing him, while the photographers wanted to click his photos, and some even wanted autographs, and it was a mess around him, which left him hurt. The actor mentioned that someone even tried to tear his t-shirt, and he somehow managed to escape. He later found out that he was covered in nail marks, scratches, and bruises. Amar can be quoted as saying:

"There was a massive crowd and as soon as they saw me, they pushed all the cops and guards aside and I was brutally mobbed. People were pulling and pushing me, the photographers were clicking me, some asked for autographs, I couldn't understand what was happening. In the midst of it all, someone tore my t-shirt. I somehow managed to get out and saw that my clothes were torn and I was covered in nail marks, scratches and bruises."

Amar Upadhyay recalled how 15-20 women dressed in white dresses arrived at his home after his character died

In the same interview, Amar Upadhyay walked down memory lane and talked about the time, when there was a massive outcry regarding his character's demise on the series, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The actor said that Ekta Kapoor had hyped his death on the screen so much, that it caused a stir out there. The actor said that even his mom was left crying despite him sitting right next to her.

Not only that, his death in reel-life caused so much uproar that e-mail servers and telephone lines crashed. He also mentioned how 15-20 women dressed in white clothes arrived at his home to mourn his death. Well, after watching the actor, they were shocked, and when the actor's mom asked them why they were there in white dresses, those women said that they had come to mourn Mihir's death, and then they got scolded.
