Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule has grabbed all the headlines, but more than that, what is being discussed is the stampede case that took place when the actor paid a surprise visit to a theatre, as it caused a clamour, leading to the stampede, and ultimately resulting in a lady's demise, along with her son's critical health condition. Allu Arjun was arrested a week back, and it also caused a stir on the internet. The boy who was injured in the stampede is reportedly on ventilator support. Well, amid this going on, Allu Arjun got some indirect allegations of watching the movie after even he was informed about the 39-year-old lady's demise.
For the unversed, it was on December 4, 2024, when Allu Arjun paid a surprise visit to his fans at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad for the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Well, his fans started creating a clamour to get a glimpse of the actor, which ultimately led to a stampede. Moreover, a 39-year-old lady lost her life to this stampede, while her son was critically injured. Allu Arjun was arrested in the case and was released a day later. Amid this going on, AIMIM MLA, Akbaruddin Owaisi made some shocking claims. Speaking in the Telangana Assembly, Akbaruddin Owaisi, without taking Allu Arjun's name, said that he had been informed that an actor was informed about the stampede and the death of the lady, and following this, the actor said, 'Now the movie will be hit'. In Akbaruddin Owaisi's words:
"As per my information, when he was informed about the stampede and the death of a person, he said 'now the movie will be hit'."
Akbaruddin Owaisi further stated that after the stampede, the actor watched the movie and even waved to his fans from his car, while leaving the place. Akbaruddin stated that the actor didn't even bother to look after the family. Talking more about the same, Akbaruddin stated:
"Even after the stampede incident, he (Allu Arjun) watched the film and waved to the crowd from his car while going back. He does not even bother to check on them and the family. I also go for public meetings where thousands come, but I make sure no stampede-like incidents happen."

On the other hand, Telangana Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy stated that despite the police denying the permission, Allu Arjun attended the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad. As per the CM, the actor stood through the sunroof of his car before entering, and while existing, and it caused the stampede. Talking about the lady who died, Revanth Reddy stated that she bid farewell while holding the hand of her son during the stampede.

After being arrested, Allu Arjun was released by submitting a personal bond of Rs. 50,000. Well, he had to spend the night in jail as per the rules. Later, a police official revealed that the actor was not depressed while being in jail, and he was treated as a special-class prisoner as per the court's order. He had rice and vegetable curry for dinner and was provided with a cot and a table and chair, and he didn't ask for any favours.
