Who Is 'Chatha Pacha' Seven-Year-Old Actress, Vedhika, Playing 'Rosa'? Started With Reality Show

The Malayalam film, Chatha Pacha: The Ring Of Rowdies, is inspired by the WWE style concept. It hit the theatres on January 22, 2026. Fans and social media are raging with the film's positive reviews. The Malayalam film is directed by Adhvaith Nayar. It stars Arjun Ashokan, Roshan Mathew and Vishak Nair in the lead, and the film also has a cameo by Mammootty. However, all eyes are on the seven-year-old girl, playing the role of 'Rosa'. 

Who is Vedhika, playing the role of 'Rosa' in Chatha Pacha: The Ring Of Rowdies?

Vedhika Sreekumar made her debut with the film, Chatha Pacha. The seven-year-old girl was able to make her debut opposite Mammootty. Sharing her happiness, Vedhika has posted a picture with the superstar, and revealed how she got her biggest dream fulfilled. She held Mammootty's hand, as she starred in the film. For the unversed, Vedhika was earlier part of the acting reality show, Drama Juniors. While she wasn't able to lift the trophy, she was in the finals, which opened her doors to acting. She was also seen playing the role of 'Malu' in the show, Mayamayooram.

How did Vedhika Sreekumar got the role as 'Rosa'?

Despite being seven years old, Vedhika left an impression in the industry. Recently, in an interview with Baradwaj Rangan of Galatta Plus, the director, Adhvaith Nayyar revealed that he was paticular about getting the right casting for 'Rosa' and he took many auditions and saw many who would fit the role. He revealed that the character of 'Rosa' has to behave like the most adult person while the adults were supposed to act like kids.

They went through a lot of options before they saw Vedhika's video. In the clip she was doing a scene which was enacted by Manju Warrier in an old film. Vedhika's parents had sent them that as an audition clip. So, they instantly liked her and brought her from Palakkad. He said:

"This 7-year-old girl is supposed to behave like the most adult person amongst the group and the adults are supposed to behave like kids. We were very particular. We've gone through so many options... like a lot of suggestions... and then we saw little Vedhika's video in which she was doing a scene that Manju Warrier did in an old film. It is up on her Instagram page as well and she sent that as an audition. We brought her from Palakkad."

The young filmmaker further recollected the first meeting with Vedhika and how he got his 'Rosa'. He shared that she was not at all nervous when she came to meet the film's crew. So, they did a scene with her, and as soon as they completed it, he and the associate went into another room, and gave a nod to her sign. He said:

"So we did a scene as soon as we were done recording it me and my associates go to the other room we're like we found her."

It is worth mentioning that Vedhika is not new to camera. She has made her presence felt in reality shows such as Drama Junior and Comedy Masters. She has also acted in a Malayalam serial.
