Meet Stranger Things Star Charlie Heaton's Son, Archie, Away From Limelight, No Social Media Handles

Charlie Heaton is best known for playing the role of 'Jonathan Byers' in Netflix's Stranger Things. However, not much has been known about Charlie's son, Archie. According to a report by the People, Charlie and his ex-partner, Akkio Matsuura, were blessed with Archie back in 2014. Akiko was Charlie's former bandmate, and the couple later separated. Archie's mother, Akiko worked with Charlie in the noise rockband called Comanechi.

Charlie, in an interview with the Wonderland Magazine, shared that he has been playing 'Jonathan' in Stranger Things since 2016; the evolution was inspired by him being a dad to Archie. For the unversed, Archie has young parents as his dad was merely 20 when he came into their lives.

Archie came into the life of Charlie when the actor was in his transitional phase from the musical to the acting industry. In an earlier interview with the GQ back in 2022, Charlie was looking for better work as it was paying better than music tours. Charlie first got an ad for some Swiss insurance company, and he had to give good auditions, run pillar to post. However, Stranger Things happened to the actor back in 2016, exactly two years after Charlie's son, Archie, was born.

Sadly, Archie's parents, Charlie and Akiko soon split after their son was born. Archie's mother and Charlie fell in love during the touring of Comanechi like for a year. She was the frontwoman of the band and had also joined The Big Pink. Archie's father, Charlie then dated his Stranger Things co-actor and on-screen love interest, Natalia Dyer back in 2017. They had met on the sets of the hit Netflix show, Stranger Things, and walked on the red carpet, making their debut as a pair in 2018.

The actor also noted that distance was a challenge as his work demanded so, but he called it a part of the sacrifice.

According to a report by the People, Charlie, despite being a famous actor, has managed to keep his son, Archie, away from the limelight for 11 years. The report also mentioned that no picture of Archie is available on social media, nor have any details about his life been mentioned on social media. Charlie has been extremely protective of his private life and has managed to keep his son out of the same. Charlie has also not posted anything about his parenthood journey or any of his romantic relationships. It is interesting to also note that Charlie and his current girlfriend, Natalia Dyer, had also kept their real-life romance a secret for many months. Charlie believes that the attention to his personal life is totally unnecessary. He is now 31 and embraced fatherhood when he was just 20.
