'Power' Actress, Alix Lapri Arrested For Cruelty Against Children And Disorderly Conduct In DeKalb

Alix Lapri is a well-known singer, songwriter and actress. Born in Topeka, Alix participated in several talent shows as a child and was signed with Crown World Entertainment in 2011. She released her first EP, I Am Alix Lapri, in 2012, and since then has been one of the most well-known faces in the industry. However, now she is gaining traction for something that has left everyone shocked. The actress-singer was arrested and charged with cruelty against minors. 

Alix Lapri is charged with disorderly conduct and cruelty against children

Alix Lapri was arrested last week in DeKalb County. The actress, who was born as Alexus Lapri Geier, was charged with disorderly conduct and cruelty against children in the 3rd degree. The singer-songwriter was booked into the DeKalb County Jail on August 18, 2025, shortly before 5 pm. The charges against Alix are extremely serious and have left her fans shocked. While the news broke out days after the arrest, it will be interesting to see how things will proceed now, with the media attention on the matter.

According to the online records, Alix Lapri was released just after 24 hours in prison. While there are no records about why she was arrested, there is an incident that took place before her arrest. Lapri is probably best known for playing the role of 'Effie Morales' in the Starz hit TV show, Power and the sequel spin-off, Power Book II: Ghost. In 2011, after Crown World Entertainment signed her, she released many song covers with friend Jacob Latimore, including that of My Boo, a song by both Usher and Alicia Keys. Alix Lapri began her acting career in 2011, and has been a growing name ever since. She has recently filmed with Gerard Butler and 50 Cent in the movie, Den of Thieves. The singer has not posted or released any statement about the arrest so far.
