Alia Bhatt's Cousin, Ssmily Suri Recalls Giving Dancing Lesson To Her, 'She Was Barely Four..'

Alia Bhatt's sister, Ssmily Suri, is known for her role in the film, Kalyug. While she couldn't make it big in the industry, she left a mark of her own. She is the niece of famous filmmakers, Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, but she never used it as her 'card' to get roles. Recently, Ssmily recalled giving a dance lesson to Alia when she was just four years old and revealed how she would follow her every instruction.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Ssmily Suri opened up about teaching Alia dance when she was just four years old. The actress revealed that Alia has always been sweet, which is a trait that she still possesses. Ssmily revealed that she was just sixteen when she taught Alia how to instruct her to 'stand on one foot,' and she would happily comply.

Further, Ssmily revealed that she has not yet met Alia Bhatt's baby girl, Raha Kapoor, who is now one-and-a-half years old. However, she has seen her in pictures, and she called her 'beautiful'.

Alia Bhatt talked about her thoughts on Raha's screen time

Alia and Ranbir's daughter, Raha, is one-and-a-half years old, and yet her darling mother is scared about excessive screen time. Alia, who knows how the kids of today go overboard with watching movies on tablets to playing games on laptops, but she wants to keep her daughter away from it as much as she can. In an interview with her mom, Soni Razdan, for Nod magazine, Alia shared her thoughts on the same, and said that she wants to reduce Raha's screetime. Alia said:

"Like most parents, I worry about the times we live in. I know I’d like to delay her introduction to screentime, but when I do, it would be to familiarize her with good movies. I want her to fall in love with them. Because that imagination is something else."

Alia further added that while growing up, she was never a big reader, but she remembers watching The Lion King, which helped her creatively. She added that she wants her child to play outside as it is important. Alia added that she would try to give her as much as she can. She said:

"I was never a big reader, but I remember watching The Lion King and feeling so creatively stimulated. And of course, there is nothing like being outdoors for a child growing up, so I’ll try and give her that as much as I can."
