Alia Bhatt Recalls Wedding Memories She'll 'Cherish Forever' In Post Honoring 25 Years Of Sabyasachi

Alia Bhatt has left the fashion enthusiasts swooning on more than one occasion in an ensemble by ace fashion designer Sabyasachi. The Gangubai Kathiawadi star has donned timeless Sabyasachi ensembles for some of the most memorable occasions in her life, be it her appearance at the MET Gala 2024 or her wedding day. Sabyasachi marked 25 years of his awe-inspiring career in fashion in Mumbai on January 25, 2025. Alia Bhatt celebrated his journey, which was filled with resilience and risky endeavours, with a sweet Instagram post that cherished the many memories they had created while working together over the years.

Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram handle to celebrate 25 years of Sabyasachi and the many memories she had created while working with the ace designer. Alia's photo dump included several glimpses of the outfit she wore to Sabyasachi's 25th anniversary runway show. For the special occasion, Alia stunned in a handcrafted black Murshidabad silk saree, designed by the one and only Sabyasachi of course. 

Also included in the dump was a video of Alia getting ready for the MET Gala 2024, an ensemble that broke the internet and left millions fawning over her look. The actress had paid a sweet tribute to the ace designer at that event as well, stating in an interview that she had always felt her 'best' when decked up in his creations.

In her caption, Alia recalled the many milestones she had marked while dressed in a Sabyasachi ensemble. Highlighting her wedding day and the many memories she created then as one example of the same, Alia penned in her caption:

"25 years of crafting dreams, preserving heritage, and redefining excellence. To me Sabya, you are more than a designer—you're a visionary and a storyteller. I've been privileged to wear your creations over the years, from global red carpets to personal milestones (wedding memories I'll cherish forever). Your work isn't just fashion—it's art, blending tradition and innovation with unmatched finesse."

Alia Bhatt further went on to gush about the fantastic show Sabyasachi put together in honour of his 25th anniversary. Talking about the words of wisdom the ace designer once shared with her, Alia penned in her caption:

"You once said, 'I believe that the best fashion comes from a deep understanding of culture and heritage.' And that's exactly what you do. Your commitment to Indian craftsmanship and culture is an inspiration to us all. Here's to many more years of brilliance and magic!!!! Happy 25 years of @sabyasachiofficial P.S : still can't get over the show you created last night.. okay bye."

Alia's jaw-dropping ivory embroidered drape for her wedding day was designed by the ace designer. Her wedding trousseu was also a custom-made Sabyasachi lehenga, and her dupatta had the most romantic twist — her AND Ranbir Kapoor's wedding date, 'the fourteenth of april' was embroidered on it with golden thread work. 

Interestingly, Alia, who is known for being an advocate for sustainability, rewore her wedding saree design by Sabyasachi while collecting the National Award for Best Actress for her powerful performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi in 2023.
