Alia Bhatt is one of the most influential actresses in Bollywood and it's not a secret that fans are always keen to know her perspective on fashion, food, and motherhood. The actress, who tied the knot to Ranbir Kapoor in 2022, welcomed her daughter, Raha, in the same year. Despite having many people like her mother to guide her in this journey, Alia admits that she is learning something new at every step, evolving as a mother. She recently shared an interesting insight on how she has been conscious about her daughter's screen time, which led her mother, Soni Razdan, to questiion about her ways of parenting for Alia. 

Alia Bhatt reveals she is extremely conscious about her daughter's screen time

Alia Bhatt, who has been away from interviews for a long time, recently sat down for a conversation with Jay Shetty on his podcast. Amid other things, she shared that as a kid, she used to love watching Television and her mother, Soni Razdan, didn't stop her over it. However, as a mother, Alia is conscious about her 2-year-old's screen time, which often makes her question if she was wrong to allow her daughter to watch TV. In Alia's words: 

"I was fascinated by television. That's something I remember very clearly from when I was growing up. In fact, my mum and I speak about it right now because she said, 'My god, was I a horrible mother?' Because right now, I'm so conscious of my daughter's screen time."

Alia added that Raha has no major screen time, unlike her. The little one hasn't looked at an iPad, but Alia still gets concerned about her screen time even when she watches a song on TV. However, the young actress also tries to explain to her mother that concern about kids's screen time is a new concept. Sharing her views, the Darlings actress said: 

"I was like, no, you weren't horrible. It was a new phenomenon at that time, perhaps. But, I'm grateful that she didn't stop me from being in front of the television because a lot of my dreaming and imagining and getting lost in the world started from there."

Alia Bhatt shares why watching her mom, Soni Razdan cook for Raha gives her goosebumps 

The relationship between a mother and daughter is always precious, and watching it pass from one generation to another is special. In her recent vlog, Alia made mac and cheese with her mom, Soni Razdan. During their kitchen spree, the Highway actress shared that her life has come full circle as her mom makes the same dishes for Raha that she used to make for Alia and her sister, Shaheen. Explaing her emotions,  Alia said:

"Her food tops all the restaurants and fancy chefs. I can proudly say that my mother's food is the best in the whole world. I genuinely mean it. Shaheen and I have certain favourite dishes that we have grown up eating and relishing. We still eat them when we come home. Now, Mumma is making those same dishes for Raha and her granddaughter, and she is telling her how life comes full circle. I have goosebumps!"

On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Vasan Balan's Jigra with Vedang Raina. It followed the story of a sister's struggle to save her brother. However, the film failed to perform at the box office. She is currently shooting for Alpha, a YRF spy film. It stars Sharvari and Bobby Deol in key roles. The actress also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the pipeline.
