With only essential commodities being available, people are missing their outings with friends and visiting restaurants to have some fancy food. With no golgappa and momo stalls around and no easy access to pizzas and burgers, people have decided to channelise their inner master chef and try their hands at cooking. Alia Bhatt happens to share a close bond with her father, Mahesh Bhatt and mother, Soni Razdan. It was after Alia’s entry in Bollywood that she grew close to her father, who was earlier away from her during her childhood due to his work commitments. The actress is living at a small distance away from her family, thus missing out on her parent’s expedition. Since the lockdown has locked everyone in their home, it came as a surprise for Alia when her mother shared a cute cooking video on her Instagram.

On April 25, 2020, Alia Bhatt’s mother and veteran actress, Soni Razdan took to her Instagram handle to share a cute video, wherein she can be seen cooking with her filmmaker husband, Mahesh Bhatt. In the video, we can see Mahesh Bhatt cooking up a meal with his wife, while she can be seen giving him instructions. Also, in the video, the filmmaker wished his followers ‘Ramzan Mubarak’. Along with the video, the caption can be read as “Cooking classes in progress ... umm just don’t imagine we did any actual cooking A few stirrings here and there. And they want to put it on tik tok. Have strictly forbidden it.” The video made Alia shocked and delighted as her comment can be read as “Omg!!!!!” with many smiling emojis. Not just Alia, her sister, Shaheen too was amazed as she commented, “Ohhhhh” followed with a heart emoticon. Take a look at the video and comments below.
A few days back, Alia had decided to visit her parents during the lockdown. Talking about the same in the interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Mahesh Bhatt had told about how Alia lives at a small distance away and had come to meet them, armed with mask and gloves. He had said, “We met a few days ago—she lives a few buildings away and it’s a protected space. So, she just walked across with mask and gloves on and sat at a distance so she wouldn’t endanger her parents. It warms the heart to see her fulfil the social role of a responsible young child and to see your children teach you what you taught them in their childhood.” (Recommended Read: When Akshay Kumar And Wife, Twinkle Khanna Won Everyone's Heart At Riddhima Kapoor Sahni's Wedding)
As the COVID-19 outbreak has put everyone’s life at a halt, people are advised to stay at home to minimise the spread of this virus. It is also said that the virus is impacting the people above the age of sixty the most, and this had made Alia Bhatt more concerned about her father, Mahesh Bhatt’s health. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, the actress had shared, "He is 70 plus. I am constantly nervous and thinking. That’s why I am always screaming ‘don’t touch your face, don’t do this’."
