Alia Bhatt is one of Bollywood's leading ladies. Apart from being a vivacious actress, Alia is a loving mother to her daughter, Raha. To express her affection for infants and children, the actress launched a clothing line, Ed-a-Mamma, in 2020. During her pregnancy, she also added some fashionable options for expectant mothers to her collection by launching maternity clothes. Alia has added yet another feather to her hat as she turned an author for the first time.
On June 16, 2024, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram handle and shared her excitement about her new role as an author. The actress dropped a picture of herself holding a book with her name written on it in her hand. She was seen smiling ear to ear for the camera as she posed with the book. Alia looked cute as ever in a white-hued t-shirt from her brand, Ed-a-Mamma, and paired it with cotton pants. Leaving her tresses in wavy curls, she completed her look with subtle makeup and hoop earrings.

Sharing the photo of her first picture book, Ed Finds A Home, Alia penned a lengthy note to express gratitude for her new journey. The actress revealed that she has turned an author and has started a new series of books from the universe of her brand, Ed-a-mamma. Alia went on to add that she has been surrounded by great storytellers since childhood and wants to tell those stories to kids these days. Thanking her team of fellow storytellers, she wrote:
“A new adventure begins (sun emoji) Ed finds a Home is just the beginning of a new series of books from the universe of Ed-a-mamma. My childhood was full of storytelling and storytellers .. and one day I had a dream to bring out that child in me and put it into books for children.. I am so grateful to my fellow storytellers, Vivek Kamath, @shabnamminwalla and @tanvibhat.draws, who with their wonderful ideas, inputs and imagination helped bring our first book to life. Fingers crossed for this journey ahead."
In an old interview with Vogue India, Alia Bhatt opened up about her motherhood journey and revealed how she manages to be a hands-on mother to Raha. Heaping praises on Raha, the loving mommy revealed that her baby is well-behaved and peaceful, but sometimes she has bad days. However, Alia mentioned that she is a control freak who wants to ace things all the time. Even though it’s very difficult for Alia to not have it together at all times, she always has everything under check.

Alia Bhatt is a doting mommy, who loves to spend some precious time with her daughter, Raha Kapoor, at their home. Earlier, taking to her IG handle, Alia shared a cutesy photo with her baby girl, wherein the mother-daughter duo was seen indulging in some cosy time together. Alia was spotted wearing a white t-shirt paired with denim pants, hoop earrings, and bun hairdo. The doting mommy was seen holding Raha on her lap, wrapped in a pink sheet, and reading a book, Baby Be Kind, to her.
