Alia Bhatt shocked everyone when she revealed that Ranbir Kapoor asked her to wipe off her lipstick whenever she tries to put on a colour, and so she always puts on the lip colour and wipes it off. Soon, murmurs of Ranbir's toxic nature made headlines. It was blown out of proportion, but Ranbir never paid any heed to it. Recently, Alia Bhatt shared a video, and netizens wondered why she changed her style of applying lipstick.

Recently, Alia posted a glamorous glimpse into her 'get ready with me' on her Instagram handle. In the clip, we can see Alia flaunting her less makeup look and lip colour with her name written on it in Devnagri. She applied the lipstick in the usual way and didn't rub it off with her finger, as she claimed in an interview. All in all, the video left her fans super happy as they were waiting for it, but some trolled the actress.

One user wrote, "Are you allowed to apply lipstick now?" Another one commented, "Wasnt the way she applies lipstick different?" A third user penned, "Does Ranbir let you walk out the house with lipstick on?" A fourth netizen quipped, "Wipe it off, wipe it off."

When Alia Bhatt revealed Ranbir Kapoor always asked her to wipe off her lipstick

In 2023, Alia revealed a habit of Ranbir Kapoor when they were dating. She told Vogue that during their dating phase, they would go out for a date night, Ranbir would always ask her to wipe off her lipstick.  She was quoted as saying:

"I thought, that was just something that I worked out for myself, and then, I rub it off. Because one thing my husband, when he wasn’t my husband when he was my boyfriend as well, says when we used to go out at night, he used to say ‘Wipe that [lipstick] off. Wipe that off’. Because he loves the natural colour of my lip."

When Ranbir talked about Alia's revelation about him not liking her lipstick

In 2024, Ranbir Kapoor, in an interaction with his fans, addressed the murmurs of him being toxic and misogynist after Alia revealed that he asked her to remove her lipstick whenever they met. Ranbir revealed that he had read the articles of him being toxic. Sharing his side, Ranbir said:

"Recently, I was reading some article about being toxic and something relating to some statement I made and I understand this. And I am on the side of the people who are fighting for the toxic masculinity, if they use me as the face of it, it’s fine because their fight is bigger than just me feeling bad about them having an opinion about what I said."
