From Shahid Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter, Arjun Kapoor-Anshula Kapoor-Janhvi Kapoor-Khushi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan-Ibrahim Ali Khan-Taimur Ali Khan, Trishala Dutt-Shahraan Dutt-Iqra Dutt to Ira Khan- Junaid Khan- Azad Rao Khan, the half-siblings of B-town have proved that common belief about the relationship they share, wrong. It is a popular belief that in the real world, to share the same room with our half-siblings is awkward and one cannot be on good terms with their step or half brothers and sisters. However, these B-town half-siblings are in complete awe of each other and share a pretty close bond with them. Pooja Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt too, belong to the category, who have shown that blood-ties matter much more than social labels. The Bhatts are one big happy family and with their modern relationships, each and every member of the clan never leaves a chance to express their admiration and love for each other. It was in 1968 when Mahesh had tied the knot with a Britisher, Lorraine Bright and four years into married life, the couple had welcomed their first child, Pooja Bhatt. When Mahesh had fallen in love with Soni Razdan, he couldn’t divorce Lorraine (changed her name to Kiran post-wedding and called herself Kiran Bhatt thereafter) and converted his faith for second marriage. Mahesh and Soni were then blessed with Shaheen Bhatt in 1988 and Alia Bhatt in 1993. Pooja, Shaheen and Alia have time and again proved with their camaraderie that blood is thicker than water.

Pooja Bhatt is making her debut in the OTT with the Netflix series, Bombay Begums which is slated to release on March 8, 2021. Announcing the release date, Pooja wrote, ““Rise & slay! There is nothing stronger than a woman who has rebuilt herself” Fair to say I’m back! Thanks to #BombayBegums & #Netflix So catch me (If you can) @shahanagoswami @amrutasubhash @plabita.manu @aadhya_anand @dan.husain @rahulbose7 @neeldewan @chaudhari_manish @alankrita601 @bornila @netflix_in @endemolshineind” on her IG handle. Soni Razdan and Shaheen Bhatt commented their reactions on her post while Alia Bhatt gave a shout out through her IG stories.
At the launch of Shaheen Bhatt’s book, I Have Never Been (Un) Happier, Pooja Bhatt had spoken about the 'genetic flaw' that everyone is the family, except Alia Bhatt, had inherited from Mahesh Bhatt. Pooja said that everyone inherited the flaw of being blunt and honest about their struggles and Bollywood requires people to keep up with their appearances, which Shaheen and she aren’t very good at. Pooja had said, "We say things as they are and not how the people expect us to say them. And, I think the reason you (Alia) are so successful is that because you have not inherited that exactly like Shaheen and I have. You're able to separate the two. The truth does not go down well in Bollywood. We're living in a fake world which is full of appearances, where people don't want you to say, 'I'm not okay.' They don't give a damn whether you're a cocaine addict or have an alcohol problem. As long as you look okay and show up and your waist size is perfect, nobody cares about what's going inside." When asked in a throwback interview with the Stardust, how she reconciled herself to this peculiar bond of friendship between Mahesh Bhatt’s two ‘families’, Pooja Bhatt had retorted, “In the beginning, like I said, we (Soni and I) were total strangers and she was my enemy. But they say na, that time heals all wounds. It healed my heartaches as well. We began by saying hi, hello and then onto making small talk. It took off from there and now we are good friends. It’s just of late but mom too has started speaking to Soni. Dad and I didn’t try to make them friends. It was on their own that they did so. Done mutually on their own. Now they get along fine.”
Being friends was one thing and posing as one big happy family was quite another. When probed further if she found it weird and unusual, Pooja had replied, “True, it is unusual and may sound weird. But then you also forget that we are really very happy with the situation. Today people might call it funny, but don’t you think that it is better to be happy like this than have tension and bad blood like in other relationships? I don’t think that being one big happy family is abnormal at all, if the end result is happiness and normalcy.” (Also Read: Sara Ali Khan's First-Ever Picture With Mommy, Amrita Singh From The Hospital Room Post-Delivery)
