Alia Bhatt is one of the most popular actresses of her generation and is immensely loved by her fans. However, the glitz, glam and pressure of being in the public eye at all times can get to the best of us. So, in a recent chat, the actress shared her vulnerable side and opened up about her mental health struggles and how she refers to her daughter, Raha's books for help.
Alia Bhatt recently had an intimate pre-birthday celebration with the paparazzi on March 13, 2025. The actress cut a cake and posed for pictures with the media and also engaged in conversation with them. The actress and her husband, actor, Ranbir Kapoor, discussed a spectrum of topics, among which was her struggle with anxiety and ADHD.
For the unversed, Alia had previously shared about her attention deficit hyperactivity disorder on a podcast with Jay Shetty. During the conversation, Alia also revealed how she reads her daughter, Raha Kapoor's children's book to serve as a reminder for her own mental health. She added that Raha has a book called The Book of Emotions, which she reads herself. She was quoted as saying:
"I read a book called The Book of Emotions to Raha. It simply explains to kids what emotions are. When I read that book to her, it is actually like I am reading to myself. Sometimes, it is important to remind yourself about the different sorts of highs and lows a human can experience and how it is normal to feel that way."
At the same event, Alia Bhatt revealed that she regularly attends therapy sessions to manage her anxiety. She stated that it was a daily work in progress, and as she has mentioned before, she attends therapy once a week to help her keep her mind clear. She admitted that at various moments, her emotions get the better of her. She was quoted as saying:
"It is a daily work in progress. I have mentioned this before and in the podcast as well that I go for therapy once a week, which helps me clear my mind. I find myself in various moments where my emotions are getting the better of me."
In the same interaction, Alia Bhatt shared that it's not as if she is into meditation or any of those things. However, knowing her internal process has helped her through difficult moments. She admitted that she has a lot of support and help as well. She stated:

"It is not like I am someone deep into meditation or able to stick to any of those things. But sometimes, just being aware of your own internal processes and internal transitions that these things might trigger you or might make you feel a certain way just knowing or acknowledging to yourself helps you get through the difficult moment. Of course, support definitely helps, and talking it out helps."
