Akhanda 2, the fantasy action drama, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, is gearing up for its theatrical release. For the unversed, the film is scheduled to release on December 15, 2025. This is the sequel to the blockbuster 2021 film, Akhanda. The expectations surrounding Akhanda 2 are rising high due to the massive success of the 2021 film. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the 2021 film was made on a budget of approximately Rs. 50 crore grossed Rs. 103.3 crore in India. Nandamuri Balakrishna has returned with his iconic role and will step into a darker world filled with corruption. The upcoming film will showcase the deeper roots of mythology. 

The audience will experience an expansion of the Akhanda universe. There will be a presence of action and spirituality. Earlier, in a 2024 interview with Gulte, director, Boyapati Sreenu shared what the audience can expect in the sequel. He shared that the film, Akhanda 2, will have a similar tone to Akhanda. He revealed that the story of Akhanda 2 will focus on kids, nature and God.
