Akash Ambani And Wife Shloka Mehta Look Upset In Car, Exit Wankhede Stadium After MI Loses To RCB

Mukesh and Nita Ambani's eldest son, Akash Ambani and his wife, Shloka Mehta looked disappointed after MI's recent defeat to RCB. Akash, who is the owner of Mumbai Indians, was visibly upset after Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Mumbai Indians by 12 runs in the IPL 2025 match held at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. RCB has won for the third time in the four games where star performers were Virat Kohli and captain Rajat Patidar. The captain of the Mumbai Indians team, Hardik Pandya's wicket, was taken by his brother, Kunal. After RCB's success, Anant and Shloka were seen exiting from Wankhede Stadium, and their expression was sad.

Akash Ambani, before IPL 2025 started, had expressed confidence in having a strong team after the auction took place in Jeddah. In a media statement, the businessman had spoken about how he was pleased with the squad they had. However, Akash and Shloka looked upset after Mumbai Indians didn't win the recent match. Many videos went viral that showed the couple exiting Wankhede Stadium. Akash was seen driving his car wearing the Mumbai Indians jersey while Shloka wore a crisp white top with her hair tied in a pony. Akash was driving his luxurious white Range Rover and was talking to Shloka. Behind their car, a police vehicle also followed them for their security and safety.

Akash Ambani, earlier in an interview with the Free Press Journal, had also mentioned that the focus of his Mumbai Indians players was on getting the bowling combination right. He also shared that in 2025 they had achieved the same.

When Akash Ambani shared letting go of former Mumbai Indians players was difficult

The IPL 2025 Mumbai Indians team is strong. They have always been on the dominating edge in the history of IPL and, in the past, have won many seasons. Akash, earlier in an interview with the Business Standard, shared that he was happy to be a part of the MI team, and it was not easy for him to let go of the past players with whom he had long associations. In his words:

"The last three years, we’ve thought a lot about what’s the balance that we truly need to get back to winning ways, and for that you had to balance the emotional aspect of buying players and the skills required in this new T20 game. Very, very disappointed to miss out on a lot of ex-MI players who have given us a lot of success, all the best to all of them for their new franchises, but also happy with what we have achieved at MI.”

When Akash Ambani's mother, Nita Ambani bought Mumbai Indians captain, Hardik Pandya for 10,000 USD.

Nita, during her recent visit to Boston, USA, shared that she had purchased Hardik Pandya in the IPL 2015 auction for 10,000 US dollars. Hardik is now the proud captain of the famous Mumbai Indians team and was selected by Nita Ambani's scouts for the IPL. The journey to success was not easy for Hardik who toiled hard to make a place in the Indian cricket team.
