Akash Ambani And Shloka Mehta's Wedding Celebrations Begin With 'Anna Seva', Pictures Inside

The Ambanis are all geared up for their son, Akash Ambani’s grand wedding to Shloka Mehta on March 9, 2019. The couple has been making headlines, ever since they exchanged rings on June 30, 2018, in Mumbai. After a grand pre-wedding celebration in Switzerland, the family today hosted Anna Seva(Recommend Read: Faisal Khan, 21, Reveals Wedding Plans With GF Muskaan Kataria, Families Have Given Approval)

On March 6, 2019, the family has organised the Anna Seva to seek blessings for the upcoming wedding of their son. They have commenced a special event - taking up the auspicious task of feeding underprivileged children from various NGOs at Jio World Centre. The power couple, Akash and Shloka arrived at the venue all decked up in traditional ensembles. Check out the pictures from the event below:

Before the Anna Seva, Nita Ambani inaugurated the Dhirubhai Ambani Square at Jio World Centre in Bandra which was attended by Mukesh Ambani and their youngest son, Anant Ambani and his rumoured girlfriend, Radhika Merchant.  (Also Read: 'Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega' Actor Rehaan Roy's Vacation With GF Jasmine Roy In Goa, Pics Inside)

During the event, Nita ji talked  about the thought behind this new initiative, and had said, “The Dhirubhai Ambani Square and the Jio World Centre fulfill the vision of a great son of India, who believed that India has the potential to achieve global excellence in every area of nation-building.” She further added, “In the coming days, it will be a great treat to the eyes of all Mumbaikars who will visit this modern and futuristic square, part of the world-class, multi-purpose Jio World Centre which will be the largest and one of the best global convention centers in our country. Talking about the event, Nita ji had shared, “We are delighted to be able to share our joy with and receive the blessings of, thousands of children and senior citizens from across the city. The special musical fountain programme at the Dhirubhai Ambani Square is a dedication to the vibrant spirit of Mumbai and we look forward to presenting several shows post the wedding to the people who make us proud every day − our police, our military and para-military forces, our firemen, our BMC workers, and many others who keep this great city safe and going 24x7.”

For those who don’t know, Akash and Shloka’s wedding will be a 3-day long affair starting from March 9 (the grand wedding), followed by two grand receptions on March 10 and March 11 at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. An India Today report had stated, “The Mangal Baaraat will assemble at the Trident in Mumbai at 3.30pm on Saturday. From the Trident, the baaraatis are to leave for the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex. A high tea will be hosted for the guests at Jio World Centre at 6.30pm on March 9.
