Akangsha Rawat Reveals She Is Open To Love Again, Amidst Divorce Proceedings With Piyush Sahdev

Popular actress, Akangsha Rawat has already become a household name with her stint in the television series, Radha Krishn in 2018 and Kahat Hanuman Jai Shree Ram till March 2020. However, her love life was not a bed of roses. For the unversed, Akangsha had tied the knot with television drama, Beyhadh fame, Piyush Sahdev in 2012. However, after being in marital bliss, it was in 2017, when they had shattered millions of hearts of their fans with the news of their breakup.

In 2017, Akangsha Rawat and Piyush Sahdev had filed for divorce. Five years down the lane, the two are still not divorced and are still fighting with each other over various divorce proceedings. During their battle in the court in 2018, Akangsha's mother had also left for the heavenly abode making her completely alone. To rejuvenate and find a new life amidst her divorce proceedings, she had taken significant steps in her life. In a recent conversation, she revealed about them and also mentioned that she is open to a healthy relationship once again.

In an interview with the ETimes, Akangsha Rawat opened up about how she was living all alone in her home after the pandemic had hit, and this was the time when she was going through a burnout. Thus after a few days, she relocated to Uttarakhand to heal herself from her divorce proceedings and other challenging phases of her life amidst nature. Talking the same, she said:

"I was a part of Siddharth Kumar Tewary's Radha Krishn in 2018 and then shot for Kahat Hanuman Jai Shree Ram till March 2020. Then the pandemic struck and we were all at home. For five months, I stayed alone in my flat in Mumbai and then I realised I was going through a burnout. In July 2020, I decided to move to Himachal Pradesh and later relocated to Uttarakhand to spend time with nature. In the last two years, I learnt English studio pottery, joined a physical theatre group... it helped me rejuvenate and release my inner turmoil and the trauma that I experienced in the last five years."

Further, in the same conversation, Akangsha who is still now fighting a 5-year-long battle with her estranged husband, Piyush Sahdev revealed the importance of good health and keeping away toxic people from her life. Mentioning that she is now open to love and a healthy relationship in life, she talked about how heartbroken she was at one point in life. Then, talking about how much evolved she feels now, Akangsha added:

"It is very important to know your self, your likes and dislikes, what is important for your good health, and how it helps keeping toxic people away in your life. I am aware of how relationships work and why they fail and I have also healed over the past two years. Today after five years, I am more open to love and a healthy relationship in my life. I was too heartbroken to fall in love at one point in life, but today I feel more evolved, thanks to my two-year break. I also feel that love is not enough in a relationship, if two people get married, they should give each other enough time and space and get to know each other well."

At the end of the conversation, the actress who is back in Mumbai, mentioned that she is in a better position now and talked about not ignoring mental health. For the unversed, she had also started shooting as young Radha's mother in the Television show, Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki. In concluding the interview, Akangsha shared:

"Now, I am in a better position to work and I feel I can give my best as an actress and a human being. I want to inspire people to not ignore their mental health and prioritise their health first. Mental health determines your happiness and success in life."
