Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda, and Alam Khan's Saiyaara has already shattered box office records. The romantic movie has been directed by Mohit Suri, and Alam played the role of 'KV', who is Krish Kapoor, a.k.a Ahaan's band manager. Alam was shown to be that supportive friend who is with Ahaan at all times. For the actor, working with YRF has been a dream, especially in a Mohit Suri-directed movie. For Alam, Ahaan has been his old friend before the star kid made his debut with Saiyaara. Now, the Kota Factory star opened up about the nepotism debate, whether he was nervous working across a big starkid, Ahaan and spoke on his struggles.
Alam, in an exclusive interview with BollywoodShaadis, opened up about his bestie, Ahaan. He did share that during their shoot, they used to go inside each other's rooms and even teach one another. For both Ahaan and Alam, it is a big moment to share the screenspace for Saiyaara, and they spoke about how he has seen the debutant struggle in his life. Alam also addressed whether he felt difficult to work with Ahaan, being a starkid. Alam shared:
"Maine kabhi feel nai kia nahi dekha. Ahaan, mei college time se ek film this jisme Ahaan AD kar raha tha, aur mera ek chota sa character tha. Hum friends ban gaye thei. Maine bechare ko etna struggle karte dekha hai, etni saari films pe AD raha hai. Ladke ne zameen se kaam seekha hai. Uski aur meri schooling ek jaisi hai. Yeh film kari. Ek chemistry already thi. Mujhe kabhi woh feeling nai thi. Hum saath mei chill karte hai. Mujhe feeling nai aayi outsider ki tarah treat kar raha hai. Bahut pyaar dete hai."
Alam, in the interview, further revealed that he never took any Bollywood character reference for playing 'KV'. For him, his inspiration was his real-life managers. Whenever he used to do a scene, Alam used to keep his managers in mind and think about how they would react. He also shared his fondest memories with Ahaan and Aneet on the sets of Saiyaara and shared how both he and Ahaan used to cry in real life while delivering scenes. In his words:
"Ahaan aur mere asli aasu nikal rahe hai. Phir hum ek dusre ko gale lag rahe hai. Picture etni hit hoh gayi hai kahi agar choti moti baatein reh gayi hogi aap bhul jate hoh. On sets, hote hoh na emotions-- acting is a tough job. Aapko acha take dena hai aap kaise bhi mood mei hoh. Important hota hai. Wahi result aana hai. Result matter karta hai."
For the uninitiated, the plot of Saiyaara revolves around Ahaan, a short-tempered musician, and Aneet, a journalist and poet. Both fall in love until something unexpected happens, which changes Ahaan's equation, even with Alam in the movie. However, Alam's stellar role as 'KV' got all the love because he shared of reworking on his scenes and telling about the improvisations even to Mohit Suri. Saiyaara also features Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, Sid Makkar, and Shaan Grover, apart from Alam, Ahaan, and Aneet.
