America's Got Talent is all set to get this season's winner on September 24, 2025, after it's down to 10 finalists. The episode will be filled with several surprises, featuring a star-studded guest lineup of performers and the presence of AGT alumni. The top 10 finalists include improv rapper Chris Turner, singers Jessica Sanchez, Jourdan Blue and Steve Ray Ladson, dance troupes Team Recycled and LightWire, the singing group Leo High School Choir, rappers Mama Duke and Micah Palace, and finally, aerialists Sirca Marea. The winner will get all the praise along with a USD 1 million cash prize.
There is no denying the fact that the excitement is heightened. Ahead of that, a tense situation arose on the show, as judge Simon Cowell seemingly called out another judge, Mel B, when she advised one of the finalists about his behaviour. During the audition, the rapper, Micah Palace, got a golden buzzer from one of the strictiest judges, Simon. Well, he came forward in his defence on September 23, 2025.
After Micah Palace performed on the same day, the judges gave their feedback, and it was Mel B who advised him to be 'nice' to everyone. She said that she wanted to give him this advice: to be nice to everyone, whether it's the crew or someone who dresses him. Mel B could be quoted as saying:
"I just wanna give you a few words of advice: you've got to be nice to everybody, the crew, the people that dress you. Cause if not, you're gonna meet them on the way back down, anyway."
Following this, Simon Cowell asked Mel B what she meant by her feedback, and after Howie Mandel shared his feedback, the former came to Micah's defence and said that he had seen the rapper way too much backstage, and he had been polite and sweet to every single person he was with. Mentioning that, Simon said that this was the reason he felt Mel B's comment to be out of order. He said:
"I've just gotta butt in here. I've seen you, Micah, backstage — this is my own perspective — you've been really polite and sweet to everybody. So that was out of order."
Following this, Micah Palace responded in the same manner, crediting his mom, who had taught him to be nice to everyone around him. He also apologised, in case he had unknowingly caused hurt to someone. Well, while Mel B's comment was tagged as 'out of order' by Simon Cowell on AGT, PEOPLE contacted her reps to understand what might have been the intention behind the same.

PEOPLE, in a report, revealed that Mel B's intention behind sharing the advice to be 'nice' to Micah Palace was the best piece of advice she got as a young performer, at the early stage of her career, and she wanted to share it with others. Well, whether the atmosphere was tense, it didn't diminish the excitement surrounding the grand finale of NBC's star-studded show. Those who are wondering where and how to watch AGT finale can head to NBC on Wednesday, i.e. September 24, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
