In his personal life, Agastya is indeed his dadu, Amitabh Bachchan's aankhon ka tara and proof of the same is often found. For instance, it was seen when the cast of The Archies, including Agastya, graced one of the episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15. Over there, the budding actors interacted with the host, Amitabh while playing the quiz game on the hot seat. In one of the segments of the episode, the doting grandfather recalled a fond anecdote about his grandson, Agastya. Amitabh mentioned that when Agastya came to Mumbai to spend time with him, he never liked Mumbai and wanted to return to Delhi soon. Big B mentioned:
“Agastya’s parents had gone abroad for a trip and they left him with me. They are all from Delhi, so when he came to Mumbai, I took him out to roam in the car. From the minute he sat in the car, he said I want to go to Delhi. Finally after convincing him we got him home. After some time, he packed all his bags and carried them on his shoulders and came. I asked him, Agastya what are you doing? He said I am going to Delhi. In the end, I had to call his parents. I told them bhaisaab, aap log jaldi wapas aa jaiye, aapka beta jo hai wo Delhi jana chahta hai. They had to come back.”
