'Bigg Boss OTT 3' Fame, Adnaan Shaikh Gets Scammed Of Rs. 5 Lakh By A Close Friend, 'I Avoided...'

Adnaan Shaikh, who is a popular content creator, and has appeared in reality shows like Bigg Boss OTT 3, and Ace Of Space 2, recently opened up about a personal betrayal that has left him completely shocked. The influencer, who built a huge following because of his effort and talent, shared that he was cheated of over Rs. 5 lakh by someone, who was very close to him. 

Who cheated Adnaan Shaikh of Rs. 5 lakh?

In a recent conversation with the Hindustan Times, Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant, Adnaan Shaikh didn’t name anyone but shared that the person who scammed him was not some stranger, but a very close friend of Adnaan’s brother. Adnaan also mentioned that he had helped him earlier by funding his sister’s wedding, and he did not expect such a thing from him. In his words:

"He was well known to me and my brother. He was more like a friend and also lived close by. I even helped fund his sister's wedding."

How did the person scam Adnaan Shaikh?

Adnaan shared that the betrayal happened when he was trying to pursue his dream of opening a gym. Adnaan shared that when he opened a gym, this friend of his approached him asking for a job of managing the social media and Adnaan happily agreed thinking that he is supporting someone, whom he knows from years. Unfortunately, that blind trust didn’t help Adnaan for long. He shared: 

"Soon he requested a job, and I gave him one in my gym. But sadly, within a year and a half, he broke that trust."

Talking about the incident, Adnaan shared that initially he used to ignore some discrepancies in the account, but later, when it reached a limit, he was forced to confront his friend. Adnaan added that the person tried to cover up his scam with excuses but later he confessed to stealing around Rs. 4 lakhs. Adnaan also revealed that after this incident, it has become very difficult for him to trust anyone. He said: 

"I avoided the prevailing discrepancies in accounts for some time. But then I had to confront him. I cross-checked only to know it was a lie. That's when I realised that it was all made up. Eventually, he confessed to stealing around rupees 4 lakhs. The very person was the most trusted, someone from my inner circle who mismanaged my gym business and scammed me. It led to the loss of money and theft of costly gym equipment – over rupees 5 lakhs."

Adnaan Shaikh is a popular content creator, who is known for his strong social media presence. He gained popularity as a member of 'Team 07', which included influencers like Mr. Faisu, Hasnain Khan and more. They made short and impactful videos, which got them a huge following. 

Later, Adnaan made his major television appearance with the reality show, Ace Of Space 2 in 2019, where he joined in as a wild card entry, and fans loved him for his natural personality. His journey on that show helped him reach a wider audience. In 2024, he again appeared as a reality show contestant but this time on Bigg Boss OTT 3, where fans related with him a lot because of his personality. Even though, he didn't win both of the shows, he won a lot of hearts, which increased his popularity.
