Is Aditya Kumar The First Contestant Of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17' To Win Rs. 7 Crore?

Amitabh Bachchan has made his much-awaited comeback with the most loved quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17. The popular show, which has been entertaining the audience for 25 years, started once again on August 11, 2025, and within a week it seems like the show has got its first crorepati. 

Is Aditya Kumar the first crorepati of KBC Season 17?

Recently, the makers of the quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17, shared an interesting promo on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, featuring a contestant, Aditya Kumar, on the hot seat opposite the host, Amitabh Bachchan. The promo showed that Aditya has managed to win Rs. 1 crore on the show and is now aiming for the jackpot. 

The promo builds an intense moment by showing that Aditya is facing the final question and is daring enough to take a risk on that question. In the upcoming episodes, viewers can witness Aditya facing the question of worth Rs. 7 crore. The makers captioned the promo as:

"Aditya Kumar hain aakhri padaav par aur apne sapnon se sirf ek sawaal door."

Aditya Kumar pranked his college friends about going to KBC

In the same promo that was revealed by the makers, Aditya Kumar recalled a funny incident between him and his college friends. He mentioned that during his college days, he pranked his friends saying that he is going to KBC. He said:

"Mera college time tha, maine dosto ko us time bol diya ki mera KBC mein ho gaya hai, aur pure hafte bhar maine ye prank kiya jisme maine unko bola ki bas aa rahe hai KBC wale video shoot karne, sab ready ho jao. Koi nayi shirt silwa raha hai, koi nayi pant aur ek hafte baad maine bola mazak kar rha hu."

Aditya continued by saying that, this time when he was actually selected as a contestant for KBC, he told his friends but because of the prank they didn’t believe him. They believed it only when all of them actually saw him on television. He explained:

"Aur is baar jab sahi mein call aaya, toh koi mann nahi raha. Main unko message kiye jaa raha hu, unko ab pata chala ki sahi mein pahuch gaya hu."
