Aditi Rao Hydari On Her Viral Gajagamini Walk: Reveals Being Unaware Of The Dance Form

Aditi Rao Hydari recently won millions of hearts with her role as 'Bibbojaan' in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Apart from her acting, it was her Gajagamini or swan walk in the song Saiyaan Hatto Jaao that became a massive hit on the internet. The way she flaunted her curves while gracefully dancing on the beats of the song was simply majestic. Earlier, she had also thanked her massive fanbase for such overwhelming responses over her walk in the song. For the unversed, the dance was choreographed by Kruti Mahesh, and SLB was closely involved in making it perfect.

Aditi Rao Hydari opens up about her Gajagamini walk

As per various reports, Gajagamini in Sanskrit signifies something that is extremely feminine yet strong. After receiving immense praise for her swan walk. Aditi Rao Hydari now broke her silence in a recent interview with Zoom. She mentioned that she was following what Sanjay Leela Bhansali and her choreographer asked her to do. However, she was not well-acquainted with the form of walking and was only doing her best to show a seductive form. Aditi said:

“I want to ask somebody, Sanjay sir, my dance teacher, what is it? Is it the Gajagamini walk, the swan walk? What walk is that I don’t know! I’ll say it was what Sanjay sir asked me to do. I followed Sanjay sir and what he told me. I know in Kathak there is Mayur chaal (peacock walk), then there is Gajagamini (walk of seduction), but I am sure it is in all the dance forms but I don’t know, I should find out.”
