"Rebirth of an actor, is a wonderful compliment. That should be the endeavour of every actor. You are yourself so there will be a jhalak of you in every film but you have endeavour has to be to re-invent yourself in each film You should try your best to not be repetitive. The attempt should be to try and do something you've never done before. You always want your approach also to have that. Each director has their own approach and method. You have to be on that ride and and once you're on that ride you have to submit completely That's my belief system. I've managed to be true to that for the large part of my career, I think so."
We all remember the brilliance of Irrfan Khan on screen; his screen presence and dialogue delivery were unparalleled. When Abhishek Bachchan's acting was compared to Irrfan Khan's, he humbly attributed his good acting credit to Shoojit Sircar. He expressed that actors are essentially well-prepared and well-paid puppets who dance to their director's tunes. In his own words:
"That's got nothing to do with me. Actors are very well-paid, pampered puppets. Here's the grand master puppeteer."
In an interview with India Today, Shoojit Sircar shared his admiration for Abhishek Bachchan. He mentioned that while everyone sees Amitabh Bachchan in Abhishek, he sees more of Jaya Bachchan in him. Shoojit noted that Abhishek's mannerisms and the way he talks are reminiscent of his mother. He even went on to say that Abhishek's eyes reflect the same purity as Jaya Bachchan's. In Shoojit's words:
"Everyone talks about how much he is like his father, but I saw a lot of Jaya di, especially in his eyes, his mannerisms, and just the way he talks. We have seen Jaya di in films like Mahanagar or Abhimaan, how pure she was. I saw that same purity in Abhishek. His eyes spoke to me.”

Delving deeper into the interview, Shoojit Sircar revealed what sets Abhishek Bachchan apart from Amitabh Bachchan. The director noted that while Amitabh prefers long rehearsals on the sets, Abhishek's approach is different. He likes to immerse himself in the character, going over the script repeatedly and grasping everything that is needed. According to Shoojit, Abhishek's dedication to the character of 'Arjun' in I Want To Talk was unparalleled. In Shoojit's words:
"With Bachchan sir, he likes to rehearse a lot, for hours. But Abhishek likes to hang around on set, grasp everything, and go over the script repeatedly. For this film (I Want To Talk), however, he was so simple and disciplined. He surrendered himself completely to becoming Arjun. You won’t see anything else in the film. Even on set, he was the character."
