Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are one of the most loved couples in the Hindi film industry. The couple fell in love and got married in 2007. It was in 2011 when Abhishek and Aishwarya welcomed an adorable daughter, Aaradhya. Abhishek and Aishwarya often shelled out major couple goals out there. However, over the last few years, several rumours claimed that something had been off between the couple. So much so that their divorce buzz even circulated, but the couple remained tight-lipped and kept proving every buzz wrong with their joint appearances. Recently, Abhishek reacted to the buzz and revealed how it affected him.
In an interview with ETimes, Abhishek Bachchan talked about how trolls and rumours have ended up affecting him and his family. The actor mentioned that previously, such buzz used not to affect him, but he has a family now, and thus, it's really upsetting to come across such meaningless buzz around. Abhishek further stated that clarifying things won't even help, as people would twist it because, as per the actor, negative news sells. Abhishek shared that no one lives his life, and no one is answerable to people he's answerable to. To quote Abhishek Bachchan:
"Previously, things that were said about me didn’t affect me. Today, I have a family, and it’s very upsetting. Even if I clarify something, people will turn it around. Because negative news sells. You’re not me. You don’t live my life. You’re not answerable to the people that I’m answerable to."
In the same interview, Abhishek Bachchan revealed that it's not just him about whom the buzz gets circulated, but it doesn't affect him, as he knows that the place is a rigmarole and families are involved. The actor further shared an incident when one of his friends got so offended with a troll that he in the comment section gave that person an address and asked him to say those things on his face. Abhishek mentioned:
"It’s so convenient to sit anonymously behind a computer screen and write the nastiest things. You do realise you’re hurting somebody. No matter how thick-skinned they are, it affects them. How would you like it if somebody did that to you?"
Going forward in the interview, Abhishek Bachchan shared that it's easy for people to hide behind a computer screen and write the nastiest things about someone, but those people would surely not have the guts to say that on his face. He also mentioned that people making nasty comments are easy, but they don't understand how much it could affect someone, no matter how thick-skinned they are. Slamming the trolls, Abhishek said:
“If you’re going to say it on the internet, I dare you to come say it to me on my face. That person clearly will never have the guts to come and tell me this on my face. If someone comes and tells me things on my face, then I will feel they have conviction. I will respect that."
Over the years, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan's divorce buzz has been going on for one reason or another. First, reports claimed that the couple had been together only for their daughter, and that Aishwarya was not on talking terms with Jaya Bachchan as well. While no one from the Bachchan family spoke about it, during Anant Ambani's wedding, the actress's separate arrival with her daughter from her family took the buzz to a peak. However, the duo kept knocking out the speculations around them with their rare but joint appearances. Last year, speculation was rife that Abhishek was linked to Nimrat Kaur, and his like on a post about 'grey divorce' also intensified the buzz. However, it all proved to be wrong.
