Abhishek Bachchan, one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, never misses a chance to win the hearts of his fans with his acting skills. Abhishek, the son of Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan, carved a space for himself in the hearts of the cine-lovers. Abhishek is all set to be seen in Kaalidhar Laapata. Currently, the actor is in a promotional spree for the same. In a recent interview with Zoom, the actor talked about his mom, Jaya Bachchan's cooking skills. He also recalled his nani's pyaar and the dishes she fed him.
Abhishek Bachchan sat for an interview with Zoom, wherein he was asked about what he has learnt while shooting for his upcoming film, Kaalidhar Laapata. To this, Abhishek gave an adorable reply. The actor said that the one thing he has learnt is that if someone's grandmother feeds him/her with all the love, then that person won't put on weight. Sharing how he had learnt about the same, Abhishek said that they shot in Bhopal extensively for the movie, which is the actor's maternal home. Abhishek said that he would go back to his nani, Indria Bhaduri's home, who would feed him kosha mangsho, prepared by herself, even at the age of 95. Stating that being fed by grandmom could never make someone fat, Abhishek said:
"I think the greatest learning for me during the making of this film— we shot extensively in and around Bhopal, which is my nanhiyal (maternal home). And my greatest learning was: you will never, ever, ever put on weight when your grandmother feeds you with love. Every night after pack-up, I would go back—my Nani, by the grace of God, is 95 and still with us—and she'd have Kosha Mangsho ready every night. It was all set, made with love, fed with love—and you’ll never put on weight when it’s like that.”
In the same interview, Abhishek Bachchan shared that his nani is a cook, not his mom, Jaya Bachchan. He further added that whenever he's in Bhopal, it's really amazing because he gets spoiled. Speaking more about the same, Abhishek Bachchan shared:
“My Nani is the cook, my mom is not a cook. So whenever I’m in Bhopal, it’s a lot of fun—you get spoiled. So yes, my biggest learning is: when your Nani feeds you with love, you’ll never put on weight.”
During a media event, a few years back, Abhishek Bachchan was asked about his wife, Aishwarya's cooking skills. To this, the actor said that his wife is a fantastic cook, and whatever she makes, she makes it with love and care, hence, every dish she prepares tastes amazing. The actor mentioned that there hadn't been even once that he didn't like something Aishwarya had made, and it is mostly due to the emotion that she puts in every dish she makes, which comes with a brilliant outcome. The actor further added that Aishwarya makes fantastic desserts. Recalling the first dish she made, Abhishek mentioned that for her pehli rasoi, Aishwarya made halwa, and it was simply droolworthy.
Aishwarya and Abhishek's split-up buzz often made the headlines, and it was reported that there might be a family rift going on in the Bachchan clan. It was also reported that Aishwarya and Jaya weren't on talking terms. However, time and again, the family dismissed the buzz with their joint appearances. Recently, in an interview with Zoom, Abhishek indirectly dismissed the buzz about Aishwarya moving out of Jalsa and stated that they all live together. The actor also shared that, being a family man, the meaningless buzz often affects him.
