Not only B-town, even in the telly world, nepotism had created storm as even renowned celebs are now speaking up on the prevalence of favouritism in the industry. Some have given a reality check on the bitter truth of the industry that hampered their careers. Also, star-kids have been facing the brunt of the ongoing nepotism debate and are being trolled by the netizens for hailing from a prominent family. Abhishek Bachchan too, is one such star kid, who once again became the target of netizens as he was trolled and called a ‘product of nepotism’. Abhishek Bachchan became one of the coolest celebrities on Twitter with his witty replies and the way he deals with the trolls in his chivalrous best. From being the son of prominent parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, and the husband of a successful wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to living with his parents and his journey in Bollywood, Abhishek is often at the receiving end of the hatred of fans and their negative comments. But hardly there’s a time when he loses his cool. Abhishek always gives it back to the trolls with his wits and calm demeanour.
Abhishek Bachchan is the son of Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan, and on October 2, 2020, a Twitterati called him ‘product of nepotism’. Accusing Abhishek on having a career because he has a famous father, the Twitterati wrote, “@juniorbachchan hey product of nepotism, if u r doing struggle then i wish god gives struggle like u to every individual. Me n my wife Sneha hv been doing youtube for a while but this different from ur big banner films also. Bcz i do it on my own nd dont ask my father to refer.” Schooling the troll, Abhishek tweeted, “You are ill informed, immature and naive. Stop believing incorrect and bogus narratives. Think! Please, for your wife’s and family’s sake.” When Abhishek had expressed his excitement on the reopening of cinemas in October, a Twitterati had called him “jobless”. To which, Abhishek had replied, "That, alas, is in your (the audiences) hand. If you don't like our work, we won't get our next job. So we work to the best of our abilities and hope and pray for the best."
This isn't the first time that the Bachchan clan has been targeted by the trolls. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have often been victims of trolls for their professional as well as personal life. Abhishek leaves no chance to turn down the trolls with his witty replies. And in an interview with the SpotboyE, Aishwarya had once talked about Abhishek’s reaction to the trolls and was quoted as saying, “Abhishek does what he has to do or what he feels like doing… to each his own. There have been instances where he has been silent for years and made a choice to remain silent and then once a while he decides to engage and then he does. There is no telling if he will or if he won’t, it is a matter of at that time.” (Also Read: Kunal Kemmu Gets His Little Girl Inaaya Naumi Kemmu's Name Tattooed As She Is 'Closest To His Heart')

In 2018, a Twitter user had compared the life of the actor, Abhishek Bachchan with the cricketer, Stuart Binny and had labelled them both “useless”. The Twitterati had tweeted, “#KKRvRR Stuart Binny Is Replica Of Abhishek Bachan frm Bollywood. Both Got a Beautiful Wife without Deserving. Both Got into Movies/ Cricket Because of their Father. Both Are "USELESS" Retweet if you Agree.#ABDevilliers #KKRvRR @juniorbachchan @MayantiLanger_B @binny.” Like other trolls, this was also noticed by Junior B and he decided to give this troll a taste of his own medicine. Abhishek had retweeted with a savage reply, “Walk a mile in my shoes, brother. If you even manage 10 steps I'll be impressed. Judging by your tweets don't think you'll make it too far! Spend time improving yourself, don't worry about others. God knows, we all have our own journeys. Get well soon.”
During the promotions of Breathe: Into The Shadows, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Abhishek Bachchan was asked what it feels like being a son of famous parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. He had retorted, “I’ve never thought about it. I’m the son of my father. At home, he’s that, he has never wanted it to be anything else, my mother never allowed it to be anything else. I’m the son of my father, I’m a colleague of a legend. That’s the way I look at it. He never brings his work home, never imposes, what I believe as a fan rightly should be, the fact he’s a living legend of cinema. At home, he’s my friend, somebody I can sit with, watch sports or movies, discuss politics and current affairs. I think it’s very important to understand that dynamic, which I understand is very difficult to comprehend when you’re not living that and viewing it as a third person. I’ve never looked upon it adversely. My love and respect for my parents are far too big for me to ever think to disrespect that emotion by thinking about it adversely.” (Also Read: Mom-To-Be, Anushka Sharma's Powerful Note On 'Privilege' Of Having Male Child Is Harsh Reality Check)
