All of us have a favourite Bollywood actor or actress whose work, dance, and characters have inspired our lives. There have been stars like Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra, Saif Ali Khan and many more who are not just iconic stars but have majorly pursued their acting from abroad. They have worked on themselves, studied in foreign countries, gained worldwide fame and then carved a niche in the cinematic industry. Take a look at the famous Bollywood stars who went abroad to complete their education before making a mark in the Hindi film industry.
Parineeti Chopra, best known for her roles in Ishaqzaade, Meri Pyaari Bindu, and Hasee Toh Phasee, has always captivated everyone's hearts with her bubbly performances. However, do you know that Parineeti first completed her studies at the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Ambala, and then completed her triple honours degree in Business, Finance, and Economics at the famous Manchester Business School, UK? She took up this course as she wanted to become an investment banker and had also worked as the same in the UK, before taking a step in Bollywood.
The actress, once in an interview with the ETimes, had also revealed that there was a time when her banker friends in London did not know that she was working in the Bollywood film industry. When she was in Mumbai and started working with Priyanka's team as an intern, she started getting projects, and Parineeti left her plan to go back to London.
Global star, Priyanka and Parineeti's elder cousin sister is a leading name in the film industry. She has excelled as an actress, entrepreneur, and has won Miss World 2000 and has donned many hats. The actress was only 12 years old when she shifted to the USA to complete her studies and went to schools like Newton North High School, Massachusetts, and John F. Kennedy High School, Iowa. The actress has never failed to credit her education in the USA which has helped her grow in her life and has also given her the confidence she required. The actress, once on the Howard Stern Show, revealed how her dad was super paranoid because he sent her to America as a 12-year-old with braids and trying to be cool, so she got her hair blown out. In her words:
"When I went back to India and I was in this small town and I was peacocking like I peacocked in my American high school, I had boys follow me home. One of them jumped onto my balcony at night. That's why my dad was like, all your jeans are confiscated; you are going to wear Indian suits; nothing is happening. I had a driver drive me everywhere; he was freaked out. I get it, but then my career happened. I feel so bad for my dad."
Saif, known as the 'Nawab of Pataudi', stems from a background soaked in royalty, wealth and honour. Saif's dad, late, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was a celebrated cricketer while his mom, Sharmila Tagore an evergreen actress. Saif's educational achievements have been contemporary as he started off his journey in Lockers Park School, Hertfordshire, England. He then studied at Winchester College, which is known for its high education. Saif had a very sophisticated outlook with his British education.

Saif Ali Khan's sister, Soha Ali Khan, is one of the few stars who studied at the prestigious, Oxford University. She also studied at The British School and then at Balliol College, Oxford. Soha studied Modern History. Soha also had a Master's Degree that she did from the elite London School of Economics and Political Science in International Relations.
Abhishek, son of legendary stars, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan studied at the Bombay Scottish School, Mumbai. He then went to Jamnabhai Narsee School, and Modern School, Delhi and post that studied at the Aiglon College, Switzerland. Abhishek had also gone to Boston University, from where he then dropped out. Abhishek, once in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, shared that he left his Boston University studies as his dad was going through a tough time. In his words:
"Truth be told, I left university — I was studying in Boston University… I left my education because my father was going through this really rough time, financially. He had started this business called ABCL."
