Abhishek Bachchan is a well-known name in the Hindi film industry. His acting skills, style, aura, and honest attitude have impressed fans during the past 25 years of his career. Despite being the son of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and veteran actress, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek left no stone unturned in ensuring that he worked hard to establish his identity as an actor. Through films like Guru, Dhoom, Dostana, Happy New Year, and more, he has constantly won the hearts of his fans, yet many believe that he has achieved success due to the power of his surname. So, in a recent interview, the actor revealed his feelings about it.
Abhishek Bachchan, also known as Junior Bachchan, comes from a popular filmy family. But rather than being repulsed from his 'Bachchan' surname due to the criticism he receives, he is proud of it. In a recent interview with CNBC, Abhishek stated that whatever he has achieved in his career is due to his family. Bachchan emphasized that everything he does so far and would do in the future would be for them.
The actor added that his family's opinion is significant to him. Unlike what others might perceive, he is proud of his name, which was given to him by his grandfather, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, a well-known poet. At the same time, he is even more proud of his surname that has been passed on to him. Abhishek stated that he would want his daughter taking the surname further and said:
"I will work and do whatever I have to ensure the continuance of the love that we get because of my grandfather. I hope that my daughter (Aaradhya) and subsequent generations can respect that and have the same belief system."
Abhishek Bachchan debuted in Bollywood with JP Dutta's film, Refugee in 2000, co-starring Kareena Kapoor. The actor feels that he is at the interval of his career where he has much more waiting to be explored. Abhishek also mentioned that he has been working in the Hindi film industry and isn't a young person. But, he feels that a phase of his career is about to begin, and 2025 is a good number.
Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in the film, I Want To Talk by Shoojit Sircar. The film failed to perform at the box office but received widespread critical acclaim. The actor will be next seen in King, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan. Moreover, he also has the multi-starrer film, Housefull 5 and Be Happy in the pipeline.
