Odia Rapper, Abhinav Singh Aka 'Juggernaut' Found Dead At Home, Family Blame His Wife For Torture

On February 13, 2025, tragic news shocked fans as Odia rapper, Abhinav Singh, popularly known as Juggernaut Singh, has passed away. He was known for his popular song, Cuttack Anthem and gained fame for including aspects of Odia culture in his creative work. Abhinav's sudden death has left everyone in shock, and the mysterious circumstances surrounding his demise have further raised new controversies. Here's everything you need to know about it. 

Abhinav Singh, aka Juggernaut Singh was found dead in his Bengaluru apartment 

Abhinav Singh, also known as Juggernaut Singh, was found dead in his apartment. For those unaware, he was also an engineer working in a private company and lived in an apartment in Kadubeesanahalli, Bengaluru. As per initial investigations, the 32-year-old has committed suicide by consuming poison. Now, the Bengaluru police have launched a detailed investigation into the case. 

As per the initial statements from the close family members around Abhinav, he was facing mental stress after his wife filed certain allegations against him. However, no further revelation has been made about it. Meanwhile, Odisha TV has reported that the rapper's father, Bijay Nanda Singh, has filed a complaint against 8 to 10 people in the case, accusing them of being linked with his son's death. At the same time, Abhinav's mortal remains have been given to his family for final rites. Speaking about Abhinav's fight with his wife, Sambad English reported that his mother said to the media: 

"I used to hear the two of them fight often. Abhinav had come home during the Puja break, but every weekend, he disappeared without informing us. I had once heard him ask his wife about interacting with us, which she was reluctant to do. But I kept quiet for almost nine months."

Abhinav Singh, aka Juggernaut Singh , was a well-known independent artist in Odia's growing rap scene. The rap culture has been growing in the scene, and Abhinav made his mark with a hit song, Cuttack Anthem, that is deeply committed to the local culture of the late artist. Also, he used to blend the local cultural aspects with modern rap, enticing the youth in his state and targeted social issues, gaining fame. In his brief career, Abhinav has collaborated with other local Odia artists like MC Tor (Tanmay Sahoo), who popularised the hip-hop movement in the state. Also, the artist had a decent following on YouTube and Spotify. 

Despite the great work, Abhinav Singh was also involved in some key controversies. In August 2024, Ollywood actress, Supriya called him out in media. She blamed him for trying to prevent the release of her debut music video and alleged that he assaulted her. The issue made headlines and involved a legal tussle. At the same time, Abhinav was involved in a dispute at an OYO hotel in Bhubaneswar after his wife filed a complaint against him and his hotel was sealed.
