Abhinav Shukla Reacts To Allegations Of Being 'Jealous' Of Wife, Rubina's Success, 'When I See..'

Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are among the most loved couples of Indian Television. The actors met at a common friend's house, which marked the beginning of their off-screen romance. They soon tied the knot, and Rubina witnessed more growth with her victory in Bigg Boss season 14. On the other hand, Abhinav Shukla, known for his ability to portray complex roles, carved his identity with roles in shows like Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka and his YouTube vlogs. Despite their separate journeys, several rumours have alleged that Abhinav has been insecure about his wife's success. In a recent conversation, Abhinav shared his views on the same. 

Abhinav Shukla admits Rubina Dilaik is more successful than him 

Abhinav Shukla recently sat down for a conversation with Shardul Thakur on his podcast, where he was asked about the allegations of being jealous of Rubina's popularity. In his response, the actor admitted that his life partner, Rubina is more successful, famous and hardworking than him. He shared that he has no qualms saying she is more focused than him and receives a reward. In comparison, he has been distracted at various points and got work according to it. So, instead of being jealous, he gets inspired by it. Sharing his views, Abhinav said:

"I see her effort to reward ratio, which is way higher. She puts in more effort aur uska reward bhi usko milta hai. I am a distracted genius. Aaj idhar chale gaye kal udhar chale gaye.. so uss hisab se mujhe kaam mila hai. When I see that, how can you be jealous? You can see yourself. You are not even working that hard, and you are not sacrificing that much in your life. Rubina is doing well, and that's why she is getting the reward. So when you see how you can be jealous, you can only be inspired."

In the same conversation, the actor shared that his wife, Rubina, has never let him feel insecure about anything. He mentioned that she is sensitive, and they put in the effort to ensure that there is no misunderstanding between them. At the same, he mentioned that people have also spread rumours that he is an alcoholic and a wife-beater, but these fake stories don't matter to him anymore. Sharing his thought process behind the calm reaction, Abhinav explained:

“Itni gaaliyaan kha li Bigg Boss mein ab koi farak nahi padta mujhe. Everybody has some or the other rumour going around about their life, but nobody has seen it. Some people believe it, and some don't. I don't worry about it. My family knows about me in and out. They have been with me for so many years. Why will they believe someone else? No, I haven't raised my hands on any girl aur kisi ladki ne bhi nahi maara."

Abhinav Shukla opened up about his fatherhood phase and being protective towards his family 

Abhinav Shukla and his wife, Rubina Dilaik, welcomed twin daughters, Jeeva and Edhaa, in November 2023. In the same conversation, Abhinav opened up about his experience of being a father. He admitted that he enjoys fulfilling his duties as a father and wants to be involved with everything including diaper duties. The actor mentioned that he used to be more of a nomadic soul earlier. But being a father has made him more focused as a person. At the same time, Abhinav shared his views on being protective towards his family amid threats from the Bishnoi gang and said:

"To protect my family, I can kill a guy. I'm a little old-school male, and I see these days a male should be capable of harm. He should do harm, but to protect his family, he should be capable of doing harm. I know this can be a controversial statement. If I have to kill a guy to save my family, I will do it with my bare hands. Aisa nahi main sochunga kya horaha hai yaar, I'll go for it. I am capable of being harmful, but I don't do that."

Abhinav Shukla shares he was cautious in his relationship with Rubina Dilaik 

Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik met in 2015 at a mutual friend's house and soon began dating. Sharing his memory from the same time, Abhinav shared that he was previously in a relationship which didn't work out. So, he was cautious while dating Rubina to ensure her privacy wasn't violated, and she was even more popular. Consequently, he was careful at every step. At the same time, she had feelings for him, and they soon tied the knot in 2018. Recalling the time, he said:

"I was careful ke bahot phookh phoonkh ke kadam rakhna hai. I really liked Rubina, and in fact, I initiated the photo shoot that I would like to capture you. So, there was a spark from both sides. She was patient, and I was cautious until she confessed and said I love her. I had to catch a flight, so I just thanked her."
