The long-standing feud between Dabangg director, Abhinav Kashyap and Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan has hogged the limelight in recent times. It began years ago, when the filmmaker refused to direct the sequel of Salman Khan starrer, Dabangg, and later alleged that the superstar sabotaged his career. In some recent interviews, Abhinav Kashyap made several explosive remarks about Salman. Now, in a podcast, he slammed him for lauding his brother, Anurag Kashyap’s movie, Nishaanchi.

In a recent podcast with Bollywood Thikana, Abhinav Kashyap strongly reacted to Salman’s appreciation post about his brother, Anurag’s recent film, Nishaanchi. For the unversed, on September 13, 2025, Salman took to his Instagram Stories and shared a video, where he was surrounded by Sonakshi Sinha and the film’s lead actor, Vedika Pinto. Abhinav expressed that it has been in Salman's destiny to now flatter the ones whom he once mistreated. He recalled how the superstar misbehaved with his brother, Anurag, during the filming of Tere Naam. In his words:

"Salman ki takdeer par likha hai, ab yeh humare hi talve chaatega. Maine ek interview diya tha usko gunda bulaaya tha, toh ab yeh dikha raha hai ki yeh bada prashansak hai humara. Vohi Anurag Kashyap jisko Tere Naam main pereshaan kiya tha. Anurag ne voh film chodhi thi inhone nikala nahi tha. Ab uski tareef karte nazar aarahe hai voh toh karenge. Ab yeh ghutnon pe aayenge, bheek bhi mangenge."

Abhinav Kashyap claims Salman Khan praised his brother, Anurag Kashyap's film to silence him

In the same podcast, Abhinav claimed that Salman Khan’s appreciation post was nothing but an attempt to silence him. He compared the post to a WhatsApp message that he once received to lure people. He expressed that the superstar praised his brother, Anurag, so that the Nishaanchi director could make him understand to stop. Abhinav was quoted as saying:

"Mujhe ek WhatsApp pe ad aaya Burj Khalifa main 50th floor par ek flat hai aur uske upar clubhouse, pricing ke liye sampark karen. Toh yeh dhundh rahe hain aise logon ko ki Abhinav ko chup kara den. Aur Anurag ki film ki tareef bhi isliye ki bhai hai, voh samjha dega. Isliye unki chamchagiri kar rahe hain, chaplusi kar rahe hain."

"Salman is never involved. He is not even interested in acting, and he hasn't been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work. He is more into the power of being a celebrity, but he is not interested in acting. He is a gunda (goon). I was not aware of this before Dabangg. Salman badtameez hai, ganda insaan hai."
