The relationship between a mother and her son is quite unique. If a father is his daughter’s first love, then a son always looks at the qualities of his mother in his wife. From knowing all his secrets to being an inspiration, a mother plays a vital role in the upbringing of her son. From being his emotional anchor throughout his life to make him realise his mistake, it is the mother, who imbibes good values in him. And a similar relationship is shared between actor, Abhimanyu Dassani and his gorgeous mother, Bhagyashree. Bhagyashree made headlines with her blockbuster debut film, Maine Pyaar Kiya opposite Salman Khan. Apart from her charming looks, the actress was also praised for her effortless acting. But despite the stupendous success of the film and being aware of the super-stardom knocking at her door, Bhagyashree had left Bollywood. Bhagyashree was married to businessman-turned-actor/producer, Himalaya Dasani when her first film, Maine Pyaar Kiya released. Soon after the film, her son, Abhimanyu was born, and for the sake of her family, Bhagyashree had quit acting.

Bhagyashree is all set to make her comeback with the film, Thalaivi, starring Kangana Ranaut. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, her son, Abhimanyu Dassani has expressed his happiness on his mother’s comeback on the big screen. Praising his mother’s talent, he revealed, “She is good at what she does and this is the time when talent is getting noticed. You can look like me and still get lead roles. Also, if she spends too much time at home, she’d want me to get married.”
Due to the lockdown, Abhimanyu has been spending his time at home. In the same interview, the actor has revealed, “My mom (actress Bhagyashree) was happy that I was spending time at home. But now, even my family has had enough of me.” He also revealed that he is quite good at cooking and his culinary skills came as a rescue during the lockdown. Stating how he would cook for his mom, the actor shared, “I cook once every two days, and mom really enjoys it. Bhagyashree’s son, Abhimanyu had made his Bollywood debut with the film, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and had even won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. In an interview with Pinkvilla’s Dear Mom, Bhagyashree opened up about leaving stardom to raise her kids. Bhagyashree, who graced the show with her son, Abhimanyu was asked whether leaving movies was a difficult decision for her and she replied, “Yes, and no. A tough call because by then I had realised that I do enjoy acting and I was like I wish I had the possibility of managing both. But no, because he just took over my life. My entire focus and happiness were having him with me. At that point, it was not a tough choice. All that I wanted to do was spend time with him.”

Bhagyashree also revealed that it was she has no regrets of leaving her career because her kids were her first priority. Talking about her comeback, then the actress has signed a film with Prabhas and had begun shooting before the lockdown. She also stressed that her children kept pushing her to make a comeback as they were aware that acting made her happy.
