"It's been three years since I've had a release as a solo lead, and Aaryan feels like the right film to make that return. because it's everything I've been waiting for: intense, fresh, and unlike anything I've done before. My heartfelt thanks to my director, Praveen, who waited patiently through my other commitments and never lost faith in this project. His belief and clarity have shaped Aaryan into the gripping thriller it is today."
Vishnu Vishal’s crime thriller, Aaryan, received mixed reactions from the audience. While few lauded the film as a whole, few found the 2nd half predictable. Giving a positive overview of the film, a user wrote, "#Aaryan first half - engaging. The first 30 minutes were super impressive, which gave a huge start for the film. Selvaraghavan's character has been interestingly made with an unusual antagonist arc. Vishnu Vishal, as usual, fits in the cop character. The romantic track could have been trimmed, and the emotional connection was slightly missing among the victims!! The screenplay was tightly packed, and the interval ends on an impressive note. Into the second half."

Calling Aaryan a unique, a user shared, "#Aaryan is a unique psycho serial killer thriller! Racy screenplay! Ghibran Bgm Show! Neat performance by all artists! Debatable Climax & social message! Overall watchable serial killer thriller!" Giving a mixed reaction, a user penned, "#Aaryan #vishnuvishal Good watch but very predictable 2nd half... Watch it with less expectation!!!"
