Aarya Babbar Shared A Throwback Pic With Pratiek On Sibling Day Amid Family Feud, 'Ukhadh Lo Jo...'

The controversy surrounding the Babbar family has hardly subsided, but Aarya Babbar seems to be over it and affirming that his bond with Prateik is beyond breakable. While Aarya's efforts are commendable, Pratiek has allegedly shared a strained relationship with his father, actor-politician, Raj Babbar, for a long time now. These speculations have only grown prominent since the former didn't invite his father to his wedding and later even dropped 'Babbar' from his last name. 

Aarya Babbar shared a throwback picture with Prateik Smita Patil on Sibling Day

Amid the ongoing controversy about the tense relationship between Prateik Smita Patil and Raj Babbar and his half-siblings, Juhi Babbar and Aarya Babbar, the latter shared a post for Siblings Day, featuring himself, Juhi and Prateik. On April 10, 2025, Aarya took to his Instagram handle and posted a nostalgic picture of the three. He linked the song, Apne from the film, Apne with the song. 

In the picture, Prateik, Juhi and Aarya and be seen posing for a photograph. Their smiles are wide, and Aarya has his arm around Prateik as Juhi gently places her hands on Aarya's. Prateik and Aarya were both dressed in black T-shirts, while Juhi was wearing a black and white jacket. Aarya shared the post with the caption:

"Apne to Apne hote hai. PS: Ukhaad lo jo Ukhaadna hai."

Juhi Babbar also took a picture of herself on her Instagram handle and shared it to celebrate Siblings Day. She posted a picture of herself with her two brothers, Aarya Babbar and Prateik. The trio looked happy as they posed for the picture. She linked the song, Yeh Bandhan Toh, with the picture. Juhi captioned the post:

"Raj Babbar Ji Ke Teeno Bacche...JUHI AARYA PRATEIK... A FACT NOBODY CAN CHANGE."

Netizens soon started to chime in and share their views on the picture. A user penned, "This is the only truth which stays with you." Another penned, "PS: Sahi hai. You amaze me with your goodness. My best wishes are always with you and your family." A comment read, "True apne bas thode der k liye naraz hotey hain. At the end sab sahi ho hi jaata hai. Happy to see you all."

Prateik Smita Patil's rift with his family

While Prateik Smita Patil didn't acknowledge the post, he has previously made it clear that he wants to create distance between his father, Raj Babbar, and his family. After not inviting them to his wedding, he later decided to drop his father's name, 'Babbar', and adopt his late mother's surname, changing his name to Prateik Smita Patil, adding fuel to the fire. Now, in a recent conversation with Hindustan Times, Prateik's half-brother, Aarya Babbar, has shared his views on the decision made by his step-brother. He started by stating that Smita Patil was also his mother and that what name Prateik wanted to keep or not should be his own choice. However, he believes that no matter what name Prateik chooses to go by, he will always be a 'Babbar'. He was quoted as saying:

"I just have to say that Smita Maa is our mother too. And what name he doesn't want to keep and what name he wants to keep is his choice. Kal ko main uthke apna naam Aarya Babbar se Aarya karlun, ya Rajesh kar lun. Main tab bhi Babbar hi rahunga na. Aap apna name change kar sakte ho, wajood nahi. Rahunga toh Babbar hi becasue wajood mera woh hi hai, aap woh kaise change kar sakte ho."
