Aanvi Kamdar is the latest name added to the long list of travel influencers, who died while allegedly making content for their social media platforms. In recent years, we have witnessed a series of incidents where influencers prioritised creating content over their safety. One alleged case has been witnessed in Maharashtra, where a young 27-year-old girl died while reportedly making content for her Instagram handle.
We are talking about Aanvi Kamdar, who was famous for the phrase, 'influencer who recreated Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani's sunset moment.' For the uninitiated, days before her unfortunate demise, Aanvi, who was a famous travel influencer, posted a series of pictures from Udaipur that went viral on Instagram. Aanvi uploaded seven picture collages in which she recreated Deepika Padukone's character, 'Naina Talwar,' from the film, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

The social media influencer, Aanvi Kamdar looked more or less like Deepika Padukone as she wore a matching outfit in the picture. Aanvi received a lot of praise for the pictures and the way she recreated Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani's iconic sunset scene. Along with the pictures, she also revealed that she conducted the creative photoshoot at 40 degrees. Only days after breaking the Instagram with her YJHD thread, Aanvi passed away in an unfortunate accident that took place at Maharashtra's famous Kumbhe waterfall.

It was on July 18, 2024, when several media channels started reporting that ace social media influencer, Aanvi Kamdar died after falling into a gorge at Kumbhe waterfall. According to a report in India Today, the young travel influencer fell into a 300-foot gorge while reportedly filming an Instagram reel, as per the authorities. The report further added that Aanvi went on a trip to Kumbhe waterfall, which is in Maharashtra's Raigad, with her seven friends on July 16, 2024. The tragic incident happened around 10:30 am when they were recording a video.

The local authorities immediately took action and sent a rescue team to the Kumbhe waterfall. After a rescue operation of six hours, Aanvi Kamdar was successfully brought out of the gorge and was taken straight to Managaon Hospital, where she passed away due to severe injuries. However, there's no official statement in public that confirms that Aanvi was making Instagram reels when she fell into the gorge.

As soon as media publications and news portals started reporting that Aanvi Kamdar passed away while filming Instagram reels, the creator's community challenged their claims. One of Aanvi's close friend, Srishti Tehri took to her Instagram handle and penned a long note in which she declined claims of Aanvi shooting IG reels.
Srishti even claimed that Aanvi wasn't even carrying her smartphone. Another famous travel influencer, Sharanya Iyer also took a dig at media outlets, who are continuously stating that Aanvi died while filming IG reels. As of now, while authorities and media outlets are reporting that Aanvi was making IG reels when she slipped, the creator community is claiming that Aanvi was a responsible person and she wasn't making any videos.
Amidst all the chaos and debate around Aanvi Kamdar, it is an extremely difficult phase for her family and close ones. For the uninitiated, apart from being a famous travel influencer, Aanvi was a chartered accountant by profession.
Aanvi Kamdar even worked at the famous IT consulting company Deloitte for some time before starting her journey as a travel influencer. After years of hard work, Aanvi managed to build a community of 275K followers on Instagram and was cruising towards new heights. Unfortunately, we lost her, and we hope she's in a better place now without any pain.
