Aamir Khan's jalwa isn't unknown to anyone in the entertainment world. The actor began his career back in 1984, and since then, there has been no looking back for him. Aamir was last seen in the movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, which was a box-office failure. Well, recently a controversy started doing rounds online as a teaser went viral, which showcased the actor in the role of Guru Nanak. Such a clip didn't go down well with several people, and a controversy soon began. Now, the actor's team finally reacted to the buzz that began around the teaser that Aamir will be essaying the role of Guru Nanak in his next film.
It was on April 25, 2025, when a video was dropped by a YouTube channel. The YouTube channel holds no connection to any production house or so but the teaser that was dropped featured Aamir in the role of Guru Nanak. Soon, speculations began that Aamir might be portraying the role of Guru Nanak in his next film, and it started a controversy. The teaser even claimed that the movie was bankrolled by T-Series, while the YouTube channel that shared the clip, in actuality, had no connection to T-Series.
Well, let us tell you that the video that was shared had no truth in it, as it was AI-generated. After the controversy about Aamir playing Guru Nanak's role started getting intensified, Aamir Khan's team reacted to the same. In the official statement, the actor's team revealed that the teaser that showcased him as Guru Nanak was false and was generated by AI. The team clarified that Aamir had no connection to the project, and that he holds a huge respect for Guru Nanak, thus, he would never do something disrespectful for that matter. Requesting people not to fall for such fake news, Aamir's team shared:
"The poster showing Aamir Khan as Guru Nanak is completely fake and AI-generated. Aamir Khan has no connection to any such project. He holds the highest respect for Guru Nanak and would never be part of anything disrespectful. Please don't fall for fake news."
As soon as the teaser showcased Aamir as Guru Nanak, it instantly became a topic of discussion. It was reported by Dainik Bhaskar that a complaint was lodged with SGPC by BJP Punjab spokesperson, Pritpal Singh Baliawal, who also requested Punjab police and cyber cell to look closely into the matter and track down the perpetrators' IP addresses and arrest that individual.
It was back in 2022, when Aamir Khan's movie, Laal Sing Chaddha was released, and caused widespread controversy. The movie featured Kareena Kapoor in the lead role. It was the last film in which Aamir was seen acting. If the reports are to be believed, Aamir will be back on the silver screens this year only with the sequel of the 2008 superhit film, Taare Zameen Par.
