Aamir Khan's Son, Junaid Shares Why He Was Away During Sister Ira Khan's Wedding, 'I Was Just Told..

Aamir Khan's darling son, Junaid, is all set for his first theatrical release titled, Loveyapa, opposite Khushi Kapoor. The actor has been promoting the movie extensively. It is interesting to see him during the movie promotions, as he recently claimed to be an introvert. Junaid also shared the reason for spending most of his time outdoors during his sister, Ira Khan's wedding. The credit should be given to his introverted personality.

Junaid Khan shares why he was mostly away during the wedding of his sister, Ira Khan

During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Junaid shared he never enjoyed parties with many folks, loud music and felt marriage revolved around the same. On January 3, 2024, Ira married her long-time boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare. Junaid shared he was not even consulted or given any wedding tasks as he called himself as 'useless'. Junaid said:

"Ira knew very well that no one should expect anything from Junaid, he is very useless in all these things. So no one consulted me for anything, I was just told the date and time and was asked to reach then. They were like if we give him anything to do."

Junaid Khan shares his dad, Aamir told him to run away and get married

Going ahead in the interview, Junaid shared that his father, Aamir, told him after Ira's wedding that when he planned to get married, he should run away and do it. Junaid also revealed whether he took part in family decisions or was considered useless. He noted that he was useless, but his family tried a lot to get him involved. Junaid also said he stayed outside during Ira's wedding rituals. In his words:

"Even at Ira’s wedding, I was outside most of the time. I sit outside with few people, a few like-minded individuals. Ira has given up on me when it comes to all this."

Ira and Nupur had a registered marriage ceremony in Mumbai on January 3, 2024. What made her happier was having a picture with her sibling, Junaid, and her caption screamed, “And we finally have a picture together!" Ira was seen striking a cool pose in her bridal attire, while Junaid looked dapper in a grey-hued suit. The celebrations continued at Udaipur's Taj Lake Palace, where Junaid was present to celebrate the lovely occasion of his sister's wedding.

When Junaid Khan revealed his mom, Reena Dutta kept him and Ira away from the limelight

Junaid got a lot of love for his role in his OTT debut, Maharaj. Earlier, during an interview with the Quint, the actor shared how his mom, Reena had ensured he and Ira were kept away from the limelight. He remembered:

"Ira and I are also a little older, and the presence of social media wasn't that aggressive as it is today. Growing up, access to information was a lot and our mom ensured that we had our heads on our shoulders."
